Not everyone with the hybrid wants to drive solely on-road in sunny conditions - you'd take a similar hit performance wise with gas or diesel trucks, and nobody gives a crap there. I'd still be coming out ahead on fuel economy compared to a 2.0L ecoboost with the same tires if I had these.
That's a really great review. That said the reduction in payload capacity doesn't seem worth it to me at least even if it brings a lot of functionality to the table - I'd rather save for some nice upgrades for my hybrid like a set of Flatout GR40 shocks and new tires
My commute is the opposite. Bottom of a valley, road goes up the grade, then workplace well after that. I tend to get 30-40 MPG on the way there depending on the battery and power, and then anywhere from 50-70 MPG on the way back. So more realistically 45-50 MPG total? I am very careful with...
Okay, possibly crazy idea. And probably uncomfortable as all hell, assuming you're over 5'6. I'm sure other folks have thought of it but the diagonal length of the bed, back to opposite front corner is approximately 72". I need to come up with plans, and some digital mockups but you could build...
I can't answer that question, but Co-Pilot 360 has already saved my butt. An accident happened in front of my on the high way today and the person driving ahead of me slammed on their brakes and the collision avoidance system kicked in and slowed the truck down. It's well worth it.
Gosh, honestly yes. I don't want wood or particle board furnishings, a flat screen TV, or any of the sort of amenities you'd usually get in a trailer or RV. All I need is a vinyl floor, shower pan, and toilet. Maybe a cooktop, but I already have several camp stoves. Camping is easy. What's hard...
Finally met another Phoenix Maverick! The mcdonalds parking lot in Peoria. We both had the same paint code and nodded at each other. Maybe the Maverick nod needs to be a thing? Like the Jeep wave?
I'll admit I was one of those "I want to know everything!" but didn't touch the manual for a month. I pulled it out today when exploring the drive modes and gear shifter and I found out that even my model (a hybrid) has a low gear you can operate.
I don't see any at all. I've seen one white Maverick a few months ago, and had a guy with a cactus grey Ecoboost XLT ask about my hybrid XLT, but he was from out of state. So I honestly might be the only one in my zipcode though a neighbor has one on order as well.
I don't want to do a lot of things to my truck, and I don't have a practical reason for doing so, but I find the idea of having the marker lights and other trappings from a superduty pickup on a compact truck really funny. Has anyone put marker lights on the cabin yet? Or is there a Maverick...
I love that little electric whine from the motor, and the weird noise gremlins you get before the gas engine kicks in and it starts to roar. It sure as hell ain't my dad's Ram with a cummins. But it sounds like itself, and it sounds good.
I went exploring down some dirt roads on county land. The 2.5L hybrid is amazing - I could creep along in drive and barely even have to hit the pedal, just riding through ruts (albeit minor) and fairly rough dirt road. And once by happenstance, some fairly rough ground with loose 3-4 inch rocks...
I just took delivery of my hybrid XLT with lux package. The heated seats, steering wheel, and cabin are fantastic. I haven't played with the cabin heater but the seat warmer and steering wheel warmer can get uncomfortably hot, which in current weather means they ought to be more comfortable if...
I haven't been able to see it in person, but here's the photo I have from my salesman of my Maverick.
I'm in love with this paint code!!! It's just the right amount of color, and I love the little pearlescent/shimmering bits that almost come off as green or turquoise in the sun. This is going...
I'm 22, and right now doing shift work in restaurants. It's amazing to me that Ford has come out with a truck sensible enough for me to purchase and own on those sorts of wages while I attend school. But I'm starting a cyber engineering cert soon, so I'll have a more gainful career in the...
Huh I checked my build sheet and I apparently ordered June 22nd. But I did receive a nice surprise and my truck is going to be arriving in a day or two... Joe Powell told me someone else was interested in my same Alto Blue Maverick lol so I wonder if it was one of you guys
Iʻd like to know as well. I live a hairs breadth away from a pond and want a fishing rig for trout and bass that I can keep in the truck 24/7 without intruding on passenger space. Iʻve been looking at 3 and 4 piece rods but online it doesnʻt feel like thereʻs a lot available.
Pro Power Onboard is the one feature j wished the Maverick would have. If they come out with it, it would be a very easy decision for me to upgrade to a new model year.
Mine's coming in to Sanderson Ford anywhere from the 7th to the 13th! I ordered a hybrid XLT Maverick in Alto Blue with the Lux package + Copilot360 and sunroof in early July. I'm still somewhat anxious (first car purchase) that things won't go well at the dealership, but what you're saying...
