They squeak pretty much all the time, I just took it for an oil change and was told I will need new brakes that I am at 4mm in the back and 6 in the front. 2 months ago it showed I was at a 9 mm on both.
I feel like the one dealer is trying to hose me.
Wow, you must brake pretty hard for the pads to be worn that much on a '24. I would ask for the old pads back if/when you get them changed to keep the shop honest.

Cheers.

This dealership has tried to screw me over before so I will drive 2 hours to a honest dealership. I do not think it is my braking.

How many miles do you have on your Mav? The brakes on the Hybrid do not get used a lot unless you hammer them on all the time, so the should last about 2x to 3x as long as the EcoBoost brakes. Most owners can expect to get at least 200k miles out of a set of pads, and possibly a lot more. Is it possible that you're riding the brake pedal all the time?.

24,000 and don’t ride the brake pedal. I think the dealer I took it too had a tech that messed up

You don't get 200k from pads in the Appalachian Mountains.

I have 86,000 miles on a Ford C-Max hybrid and have never replaced the brakes.
I just had my 2016 Hyundai Sonota Hybrid in for state inspection. Brakes at 80% with over 92K miles. So, looking at first brake replace around 400K?

So I think it we be a while before my Mav needs brakes. Only at 7,000 miles.
The Maverick weighs a lot more than those vehicles. I learned today the brakes don't last as long if you have to slow down on long downhill slopes.

So to answer the OP question about the Maverick Hybrid (not about a C-Max or Sonata), yes - 45,000 mi front pads and rotors replaced under maint. warranty. Tread more lightly than I did...

Yup, turns out I'm the Donkey who wore out the brakes on a Hybrid at 45k. No way they would replace them for free right??? I'm still in denial about it but moving forward I'll be using the generator a bit more and a engine braking too.

Do you run your Mav primarily in “normal” mode?

About 35% heavy city traffic, the rest was interstate. Average cargo load, 800 lbs.
2016 Ford Transit Connect XLT long wheel base.
I traded it in with 127,000 miles on the odometer.

Still on original brakes. This was a gasser, not a hybrid. About 45,000 miles was heavy city traffic.

Pedal felt fine, brake fluid reservoir was normally showing less brake fluid indicating the pads were nearing the end of their service life.
Brakes felt great.

All I had to do was look far ahead into the future, anticipate, and not tailgate.

I drive my Maverick the same way.

With regard to the regenerative breaking:

The regenerative system should really help in the mild mountains unless the battery is already charged. I know I use the brakes less in the Ozarks with all the ups and downs. I also get great efficiency there taking advantage of the hybrid.

The amount of regen that is possible doesn't matter between modes - if that's what you are suggesting.

Eco mode with stronger coasting regen just means you have less space to press the brake pedal and remain in regen.

Normal mode with less coasting regen just means you have more space to press the brake pedal and remain in regen.

Low button selected means max regen is used on coasting, and barely any brake press (depending on speed) is taking you into the pads.

Slippery mode with the least coasting regen actually shoves the stronger brake effect into the final 10-20% of regen - and if I use it even in flatter areas I'm constantly going into the pads because so little brake pedal movement is available.

Just did some incredible steep declines in AR back dirt roads.
Low did not feel comfy at all as I had to press the Go pedal to not slow up too much - but with 1000 ft drop off Cave Mtn Rd I couldn't do it with the curves.
Normal was just fine and light braking had me in regen all the way down. Son was shocked.

If the battery is fully charged would there still be regenerative breaking available?

Yes.
But it wastes the traction motor electrical on spinning the generator motor to spin the engine for air braking.
So no brake pressure on the lines, no pads used.

Also shocking - that didn't occur on that descent until almost the very end, and only up to 1500 abouts RPM.
Just enough level areas and curves that EV was used, to keep lowering the HVB down to abouts 45%.
