Hybrid brakes

Hey all-

Finally took delivery of Mav Lariat Hybrid a month ago. I found some threads on the brakes that mention abrupt stopping and the regen vs regular brake is not as refined as other hybrids. I find in bumper to bumper traffic the brakes feel like they aren’t there and you slam the brakes into abrupt stop mode. I thought a lift off the brake completely vs modulating the peddle on a creep up did more for the issue but I’m not convinced that is a correct work around.

Anyone else seeing this type of brake behavior?

I'm in contact with Ford about it. Same problem. Taking it in at end of month

Has this been an issue on their other hybrids like the escape? Honestly will sort of suck, making passengers think you aren’t a good driver. They should be able to fix this with a software update I would think.

I haven't noticed any funny braking on my hybrid. Very consistent.
