Yeah, I dont think the little truck can handle much wind resistance. Here is the data sheet That lists frontal considerations..I've been looking at one of those, too (Rove Lite 14 FL). The only question I have on it is exactly how large the exposed footprint of the camper is. I don't think that the weight is any issue because I have towed the max allowable on my hybrid and it's never affected the vehicle in the slightest. I've had mpg's in the mid twenties at 70 mph (~2000#, 8 foot trailer, barely exposed).
Yep, that's why I want to see one for measurement. 20 sq ft isn't much.Yeah, I dont think the little truck can handle much wind resistance. Here is the data sheet That lists frontal considerations..
Considerations are just that.Yeah, I dont think the little truck can handle much wind resistance. Here is the data sheet That lists frontal considerations..
Basically the frontal area of a 4X6 trailer. 4' wide box, 5' high.Yep, that's why I want to see one for measurement. 20 sq ft isn't much.
Good info- Just bought a Rove/lite -14B with the Off-road package which per specs brings the trailer from a total height of 8 ft 1 to 9 feet which seems a bit odd as it just goes from 13 inch to 15 inch tires -The truck is about 5’ 6” high at the cab. 5’ 6“ wide. The Rove Lite is 8’ x8’..
So youve got about 2’ 6” above the cab height X 8’ width of the camper. Thats 20 sq ft of surface I think.. Doesnt take into consideration the 1’ 6” on each side of the camper exposed times 8’ tall. Another 20 sq ft total for both sides added to the 20 sq ft at the top is 40 sq ft..
I've ordered an EB w/ 4K Tow...but I'll still ask this question here while you all are on the topic...Yeah, I dont think the little truck can handle much wind resistance. Here is the data sheet That lists frontal considerations..
