The service part number of the original Motorcraft is BXT-99RT4-A... It's a group T4 battery and is identical to the Diehard I installed...

My 2023 12v has died randomly on me 5 times overnight while locked. First few times I thought I was leaving something on.
Guess Ford still having problems
Drove truck, parked, locked it, came back in AM, unlocked and 12v battery was dead. What do you mean "died overnight while locked"?

Went for a couple long drives and haven't seen deep sleep issue since. Took to dealer today and they performed SSM-51449 and TSB 23-2060. Hopefully this fixes battery drain issue.Woke up to a totally dead vehicle the other day. Jumped it and then it did the deep sleep notifications every time I parked it. Went on a couple longer drives yesterday and I got my interior lights back and have not seen a deep sleep notification yet. Checked my voltage this morning at battery and measured 12.4V. Wondering if there is something causing higher than normal amp draw when car is left parked. I did see another post somewhere where someone had an issue with the audio control module (ACM) causing an unusually high amount of current draw when parked and they got it replaced under warranty. I am taking mine in on Friday to see if they can figure out what is going on. Mine was manufactured after the cable fix TSB and I can see that my harness has been modified already, so I doubt that is my issue. You will have to let us know if you lose your interior light or go back into deep sleep with new battery.
Per manual do not attach anything to negative battery post as that is where BMS is located ground elsewhere. Also states that improper charging by non vehicle charger or battery replacement may require the up to 8 hour battery learn procedure which requires truck to be locked with accessories off without even the doors being opened during that time. When I see my battery drop to 12.2 volts or lower I put hybrid into ready state. The ice will cycle on to keep HVB at 30-40% charge and bms will charge 12v. I turn off AC and head lights and anything else on 12v during this time. BMS will have 12v charged in 30-45 minutes and ice will cycle 2-4 times. 12v battery will be good for 3-4 days in low temps to maybe twice that long when temps are around 60°.That's about right. I charged the stock 12v battery up with a charger/maintainer attached directly to the battery. I didn't notice any low battery issues for about a month and half.
It appears to me that any trip less than 30minutes should probably be considered a non use trip at least as far as 12v charging is concerned. Also just getting fob within range whether or not door is opened causes truck to use current.265 mile round trip for work. No deep sleep messages for exactly 1 week. Drove it almost every other day during the week for short in town errands but the DS messages have returned. Gonna try OP's method.
OP here, it has now been 5 weeks from when I replaced my battery. Zero issues since that time...... before that I was getting DS every 3-4 days for months. No change in usage or driving habits..OP here, my Hybrid was at the point were it would enter Deep Sleep every ~4 days, I would charge the battery, then 4 days later, another DS. This got progressively worse over 6+ months.
I replaced my battery with the Diehard 22 days ago, the truck has been perfect since that time. I’m (hopefully) calling it fixed, but the original concern’s frequency absolutely drastically changed for the better....
To check for voltage drop in a circuit you need to set your DVOM to a low volt scale and connect one lead to the battery terminal and to other to the to your test point (chassis ground if you are checking the -ive side or a 12 volt terminal for the +ive side), volts should be zero with no loads on the circuit - with a load on the circuit you should see less than 0.5 volt, this is the voltage drop for that part of the circuit. One thing that leads me to believe my issue is not cable related is that I've checked voltage with a meter a dozen times, each time both at the pins and on the actual battery. If the cable were bad I would expect to see some voltage drop due to the higher resistance, but they are almost virtually the same. But who knows....

One week without incident since battery swap.265 mile round trip for work. No deep sleep messages for exactly 1 week. Drove it almost every other day during the week for short in town errands but the DS messages have returned. Gonna try OP's method.
Which new battery did you install? One week without incident since battery swap.
