OP here, I am now at 10 weeks with zero problems after Diehard battery replacement. Before that, my truck went into Deep Sleep every 3-4 days for ~6 months requiring a charge every 3-4 days...

Thanks for continuing to update. The 12 month update is the one I’m looking forward to the most. At that point I will consider this the fix if there are no issues.

I'm not suggesting mine is THE fix, only that the new battery I installed absolutely resolved my truck's Deep Sleep issue.

For now, when your original battery was new you also did not have this issue. Neither did I or most others. It is only after the truck has had time to slowly kill the battery does the deep sleep pop up. You will be able to confirm if this is a fix or just another it was good for 5,6,X number of months and then returned.

I encounter Deep Sleep (and no interior lights) within ~30 days of delivery. It got progressively worse over time to the point of DS and recharging every ~3 days....

Ahh, that detail is different than your first post.

You should add an edit to you post at the bottom with this information but keep the old post there for thread truthfulness.

Curious, did you ever try the BMS reset with the stock battery? I did that to mine and it fixed The deep sleep issue for probably 6 months until I added an external amp that brought the voltage down. Did the reset again and it's been probably 4 months without issue.

Something is really atypical with the 12v batteries that shipped. So does anyone think they are bad or "different" chemistry? Supplier got an impure batch of lead, or something?

I can charge with key on at 14.6 to 15.2 volts on mine all day long, the next morning (like 16-17 hours sitting) it's down to 11.9v. Or 11.8 volts.

I just turned off WiFi in mine. i have never used the on-board wi-fi but was one of the "lucky ones" to get it as a standard feature before it was deleted on later builds.

Gonna let it sit a whopping 48 hours and see if the resting voltage is better than 11.9.
Found this on O'Reilly web site. Yes the Ford group 99 rt4 is different supposedly to enhance performance. Looks like maybe something else to go wrong during manufacture. I would prefer in the hybrid to see less cold cranking and increased reserve capacity due to what I see. I would in addition like to see a trickle charge loop active between the HVB and the 12v at least down to 34% SOC of HVB With the HV contactors open. Or at the very least run computers and contactor relays off a separate dcdc converter limited to whatever is enough amperage necessary (5amps?). Use 2amps with capacitor if necessary for relay power. How about adding an ice run when truck is turned off to bring HVB SOC to 50% to allow for extended trucks charge time.
Info on 12v battery.
Detailed Description
Battery; The only parts recommended by Ford Motor Company for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. Inter-cell welds reduce resistance for improved cold crank performance. Optimized grid design maximizes current flow and cranking performance. Premium alloy grid helps maximize battery life in high heat environments. Envelope separators help protect plates from direct shorts, improving service life. BXT Series - Tested Tough MAX is the original equipment replacement battery for all Ford Motor Company vehicles. Motorcraft batteries are family priced for simple, easy-to-understand selection. Impact-resistant polypropylene case and heat-sealed cover help prevent leaks. Special bonding paste helps minimize internal vibration, a leading cause of battery failure. Broad selection of battery sizes that fit 94 percent of all automotive applications. Many marine, commercial and farm/industrial applications are also covered.

What exactly is not 'truthful' about my first post? My DS issues became virtually constant every ~3-4 days for the ~7 months prior to my posting here. Before that, DS occured a few seemingly intermittent times.

Yes, when charging my OEM battey I went through the BMS reset procedure perhaps ~6 times allowing the truck to remain untouched and locked over night. It made no difference for my truck...

We know there are multiple issues that can lead low 12VDC conditions ( cold solder joint on the underhood cable, BMS reset, etc.) Mine was a battery... As I mentioned here or on another post, I've not had a good experience with Motorcraft batteries in recent years. I've seen them fail in a few months (my Raptor, my wifes Platinum Explorer, one of my Platinum Expeditions, etc./) with infant mortality issues but beyond that I've have them go for many years....

OP here, it has now been 5 weeks from when I replaced my battery. Zero issues since that time...... before that I was getting DS every 3-4 days for months. No change in usage or driving habits..

.
So I thought that I was in the clear after the last few weeks of no voltage issues. My truck lights and screen would come on every time I got in my truck. I knew the problem hadn't vanished, but I was enjoying the "vacation" in my mind of telling myself perhaps I'd be okay.

Drove close to 100 miles yesterday, and within 12 hours this morning my truck was dead. Had to physically turn my key just to enter the truck. I went 3x to Ford and got NOTHING from them, so I think I'm gonna try replacing the battery myself with the Duralast Gold you did.

Have you had any issues since your replacement? Anything I should know before I head to AutoZone later? I've got a 6 day trip through Utah scheduled for next week and I refuse to cancel and let Ford "win". I'm determined to solve this myself.

I’m not saying your OP isn’t truthful. I’m saying if you edit you should call attention to the edit to keep the thread intact.

This makes it look like you did not have any trouble until 4-5 months into ownership.

“I purchased my Hybrid 12 months ago and it has 9000 'almost trouble free' miles on it. Like many, I've been plagued with the 12 volt issue deep sleep issue for the last 7-8 months which generally manifests itself with no interior lights.”

Has anyone had their 12v battery replaced under warranty? How about warranty denied because of some added aftermarket device? Thanks a mil.
