How to Turn Off Reverse Beacon / Alert Sound?

I can't help with that. I don't have hybrid, and I didn't know they had a rotating light or flasher when in reverse. I have a friend who has a hybrid and I had not noticed the pulsing light. I will ask him about it. I learned something today.

You mean the one that is legally required. Easy, don't use reverse.

I don’t even notice it because I’m in the truck, not standing behind it!!
I only knew about because my wife mentioned it when I backed into the driveway!

I was in a parking lot, walking, when a Tesla started backing out right next to me. They apparently don't have any warning device. Since it is virtually silent when moving I was unaware until it hit my leg. Obviously the driver was not concerned about looking in a mirror or paying attention in any way.

Teslas have a back up noise. I have a Model Y. Friends have a Model 3. Sounds like a space ship. Alot better sound than the Maverick. More subtle.

I too would like the ability to disable the backup alert when I'm coming home late at night, but the world discourages such freedoms. The speaker is up front on the driver's side in a fairly inaccessible spot, so any mods at that connector are rather difficult. In addition to the (Rolling Stones Honky Tonk Women) backup alarm, it also generates those typical EV sounds when moving forward at low speeds. The pedestrian alert system is legally required, so you're taking some litigation risk in messing with it. There are resistor kits you can buy to prevent MIL code generation if you disconnect the speaker, but it's gonna take you all afternoon to install. It would probably be easier to hack into the wiring harness in a more accessible location, which is also a lot of effort.

"Annoying"? Heck far, son, that noise ain't loud enough for me! I want a reverse horn that sounds like a garbage truck in reverse.......you can hear that clear across the Home Depot parking lot!

There is an adapter that stops all the fake engine noise under 20 mph and the Mack Truck back up beep also. But it look likes a pain in the budinski to install it. That speaker is hard to get to, to bypass. You cannot just unplug it with out a fault warning.

My neighbor asked me if I could turn it up. I thought he was being a smart ass. But he is, well kinda different. If anything flashes back there I didn't realize it. No one has pointed that out.
