How to Turn Off Certain Default Options?

Glenn, what do you use your LLC for? I have an LLC for a self directed IRA. A 2023 Maverick Hybrid XL Forscan question hoping you can answer. I made a number of changes in Forscan, but one change I want to make or undo has to do with turning off the auto headlights during the daytime. I can have my dial set to off and as soon as I start the truck, the switch automatically defaults to 'Auto Headlights'. I only want auto headlights when its dark outside. Ron

Ron,
I don't own a PC, laptop, tablet or skills to mess with the trucks build code. Therefore I have never touched the FORScan system.
As far as your headlights on during the day because you have a 23 xl your headlights are on because they are used as Daylight Running Lights.

Using the right controller on your steering wheel. You will be using the the right button the OK toggle for up and down and OK.​

To toggle through your different screens. You'll highlight the daytime running lights and then press okay and it should uncheck the Box.
Then you'll use the button on the left or the return button and return through your screens to the beginning. I hope this helps.

As far as the LLC. Its personal.

On my 23 XLT hybrid I made the following change in Forscan to make the headlight switch go from Auto to last used position (off)

BYDCM module

I changed my As-Built from 726-27-05 0xxx-xxxx-xx to
726-27-05 1xxx-xxxx-xx
So simply change the first digit 0 to a 1

My As-Built was 726-27-05 0200-1919-4BD8
after the change it is 726-27-05 1200-1919-4BE8
your XL may be different of course.

I didn't like my headlights automatically coming on at night so I left the headlight switch in off position.
Note-I believe if it is off during the day the DRLs will be off.

In the manual it states the headlights default to the AUTO setting when the truck is started. AUTO literally means when it gets dark they will automatically turn on. In daylight they remain off. I am confused about your statement about wanting them to only be auto after dark that is exactly what they are. May I ask why you set the selector to off? Do you also move the overhead light switch to off while in the truck then to auto just prior to exiting? Dash lights? Do you turn them off in daylight?
