Thar's funny, because I want to KEEP yhe auto headlight feature ON and I can't figure that out!
Well - you didn't disable it - because it's enabled by default with no setting to disable.

Unless you are messing around in Forscan changing settings.

Why do you think the headlights do NOT turn on when it gets dark?

Thanks. That's exactly what I did in the lighting menu. I thought that also covered the "auto lamp" feature on the headlight knob somehow. It may shut daytime running lamps but it will do nothing for "auto headlight" activation at startup. The guy who sold me the car stated "Ohhh yeah, you can't turn that auto headlight feature off because Ford does not want you driving at night with no lights." HUH?
Do you mean startup in the dark?

Or you mean your headlights are literally on with every startup light or dark?

You're not the first person I heard that from! I scratch my head when I hear the commercials for Hyundai offer 6/100,000 and free oil changes! I think: okay, what am I missing here?
From a consumer's point, I think that they need to increase the length of warranties given the fact that cars cost so much more than they used to. But from a mechanics point of view I wish they wouldn't because we get paid less for a warranty repair versus and out of warranty repair. And the difference is significant. For example a repair that pays 1 hour under warranty most likely will pay about 1.5 hours customer pay. That ratio adds up when you have a large repair. So that 10 hour major engine repair at 59,000 MI will pay us around 15 hours at 61,000. I don't understand why the manufacturer pays us less because most of the time what they pay us for is almost impossible to do unless it's a repair that we do all the time. But as an owner I want the warranty to be as long as possible

I can answer the last question. If the door is closed, the parking brake automatically releases when you put it in reverse or drive and press the accelerator to move
Thank you!

For #1, you can't really override the knob behavior in the way you're alluding to (at least to my knowledge, maybe it's a Forscan adjustable thing). But if you're referring to the daytime running lamps, then you can turn those off permanently in the instrument cluster menu. It'll be under Vehicle >> Lighting. This is also the case for the automatic high beams, you can turn those off permanently in the same area of the instrument cluster menu.
Thank you.

Is this true?
My '24 Manual (page 185) does state that the "electronic parking brake could apply if: you shift to park (P) without fully pressing the brake pedal.", "when you power your vehicle on with selector in park (P)., and "if you shift to park on a slope."
I have only noted it on mine (a hybrid) applying the parking brake on a significant slope. YMMY?

On my Lariat Hybrid, whenever I press the stop button, the trans goes to park and the park brake is set. No hills in sight.
Perhaps, the vehicle is not detecting a full brake pedal depression if you don't shift to park first when powering down. I have rarely shut down from drive and have not noted the parking brake, possibly it has set.

I always have my foot on the brake when I shift to park 🤷🏼‍♂️
Yes. Mine automatically engages when I'm parked on an incline. Otherwise it doesn't.
🤔Hmmm
I drove down the road aways found a nice Hill. I tested both up and down I recorded the uphill portion.
I put the Maverick in park. You can tell by the gear selector. Took my foot off the brake, you can tell when I did that, because the Maverick rocked a little bit when it locked into the gear.
I even open the door parking brake never came on and the red brake light never illuminated.
