  1. Hybrid Addressing Shudder/Touchy Brakes In One Software Update?

The dealer performed the update on my 2022 Hybrid and both problems largely went away. If you want to make them go away totally then drive in Sport mode. At that point, they will disappear. Talk to your dealer. You will need to make an appointment. It takes several hours for them to do the...

  3. Maverick is a Failure Article

To the author of the article I say: boy you must have been having a bad day when you wrote this, and you did not have anything better to write about. The fact is that if I want to use an SUV to haul stuff around I can just use my wife's Rogue Sport. And the fact is that while he is complaining...
  4. Sport Mode

I have taken to driving my hybrid in Sport mode most of the time as it is much more responsive and combines the torque of the ICE and electric motor over 35 MPHour. I am still averaging nearly 40 MPG in Sport and am fine with that. Also, Sport mode eliminates the weird idiosyncrasies of...

  6. 2022 Maverick Hybrid Safety Recall -- Engine oil / fuel vapor may leak in event of engine failure (Recall 22S47 / NHTSA Recall 22V484)

  11. Opting out of recall?

I don't know what the big deal is about this. I am just going to let Ford do the work and then I will be done with it and I will not have to think about it anymore. I have absolutely no concerns about the engine. Anyway, if the engine is going to break it will happen in the first 36K and it...
  12. New Maverick Recall: 2.5 Hybrid Engine Fire Hazard [Updated w/ Safety Recall Notice to Dealers]

This recall is nothing. I will be glad to get the fix next time I get my oil changed... I suspect that there is nothing wrong at all with the hybrid engine and that Ford is simply correcting a cooling design issue that they should have thought about in the early design phase. I am much more...

  15. Dash rattle

Mine makes the noise too on the passenger side. It is definitely related to cold and cooler temperatures. I believe it may come from the rubber strip on the exterior bottom side of the window. I sprayed some WD-40 there and it seemed to work for a few days but then it came back.
