Google aawireless. Costs $100 and it'll be at least several months before it would ship, but it should solve your problems
Hopefully a member will give the product a try, and some feedback to us 😁

On our Maverick screen ?
I found one video that talked about using Apple car play, which our phones are not Apple iPhones.
But do we need to connect our phone by a USB cable ? That would be a problem, as our cables are not data cables, but for power only (magnetic... and the greatest thing since sliced bread.... unless you need to transfer data)
Anyone using Google maps (mirroring) on there Maverick screen ?
Yes, I seem to remember, only by cable.

It's gotten great reviews from all the tech sites I've seen. I don't think there's a reason it shouldn't work fine with the maverick. I have one on order, but both it and my maverick won't be here for a few more months

Yeah... Sounds like you are heavily invested in the "no-data" technology. It's hard for me to imagine needing 18 cords and 36 plugs, but I'm sure you have your reasons.

I like the idea of the magnetic power/data connectors and may give it a try when I get my truck (probably late January or early February). If it works for me it will be simpler to implement as my phone charges on an induction pad in the house and I never plug it in anywhere else (except the car). So I would only need one or two cords and I'd be done.
Well we have two cords always plugged in, in both houses, two plugged in each of 3 cars, and to be quite honest, as much as I hate to admit it, these cords (like every USB cord I've ever used) do wear out right at the device end of the cord, and start flickering, and need to be tossed. With the ones I use at least, you don't have to wonder if the cord is bad, as they have little blue led lights that are on when the cord is powered up. So as soon as that starts flickering, I toss it, and grab a new one :) Been using them for more than a year now. I think 3 or 4 have failed. But at like $3 a piece, not a big deal.
Oh, but yea, besides having the plugs in our 3 phones, I have them in our tablets, my camera battery chargers, my battery packs (3 of them) my headphones, ....probably missing something, but put it this way "everything with a USB plug" :) Freaking love them. I will often be walking by the kitchen counter, turn my phone around and with one hand, slide the phone towards the the cord, and as it gets within an inch, it will just jump up and connect itself :) Plus, the device plug will never get loose and worn out, because it is never used :)

These are the ones we are using...
and I think I saw a few of the only negative reviews complained that they were for power only, not data transfer.... And I remember thinking, "So ? I've never needed to transfer data through my phones USB cable EVER".... First time for everything I guess :(

Thanks for the info. I'm definitely going to research this in January to see if there is a combination power/data magnetic connector that I'll be able to use in the truck.

I'd also like to use it on my tablet (USB-C). Unfortunately, I often connect a USB-C (male) to USB 3.0 (female) adapter to the tablet so that I can upload files from a device that functions like a USB drive. Have you ever tried to use one of these magnetic cables with a male-to-female adapter on the non-magnetic end? That would work for me, I think.

I havn't tried that.
In think I still have 3 or 4 brand new magnetic cables in my drawer, but as they continue to wear out, and I've gone through those, I might look into the ones that allow data transfer, and just swap over to using all those. I can always just buy one set to test them, and if it works, I can get one or two more sets....

Many of the amazon questions and reviews say these are not compatible with android auto/carplay.....

Yeah, it's confusing. Because other reviewers (of the same products) say they tried it with android auto/apple carplay and it worked just fine. Hard to know what to believe.

I'm going to try it out, but I'm going to be sure that I've got a clear path for returning them if they don't work.

I've been watching this for many months, still preorder
Maybe next yr
I bought an "October order." Every few weeks they email me an update that it isn't being delivered yet. Which is more than some companies I guess.
