How are you keeping (your back) cool in the summer?

I bought cheap chair pads at Big Lots for the seat bottom to keep the sun off. They work great. No issue with my back I crank up the AC. I would have preferred cloth but the truck I liked was a Lariat. Bath towels work great also.

Is it diet ? Is it overall health ?
I work outside often in summer heat and humidity.
I am a walking rain forest, I sweat big time. That’s healthy btw.
Had my Lariat 18 months through two very hot summers.

I did put Carhartt seat covers on just to keep my seats clean and they were cooler it seemed.
Had the clown interior and now my first few summer weeks in my Tremor with the same seats.

My super powerful A/C cools me and the seats right down.

I’ve never had this hot seat problem so far.
I’m going to put black Carhartt covers in my Tremor.
They breathe.

I really haven't had too much of a problem with the sweating even though the heat and humidity can be brutal here in the south, I make it a habit of remote starting before I plan to leave, so during the hot summers month's it plenty cool when I get in and nice an warm in the cold winter months.

I do agree with other previous post that the perforated heated and cooled seats like on my F150 would be nice to have, at least on the higher trims or as an option. Also the post by Glenn I think on the seat pad that had fans to circulate air seems like a great solution also.

Lariat owner here, enjoying the AC when I’m not driving with the windows down during the summer. But peeling my back off the seats after a long ride—Bleah! What are some of the things you are doing to keep cool?
I open the sun roof as well as the rear slider (great air flow), but keep the windows closed on all but the most rural (slow) roads. Too damn much noise at speed with the windows down. If I get too warm, I just turn the air on.... that's what it is for....

I bought the Lariat for the features and worried about sticking to the seats in hot weather. I'm in my second summer and, so far, I haven't sweated due to the seats. Truck cools quick. Southern Indiana, temps in the 90s most every day, comfort index in the 100-107 range. I haven't bought anything for the seats but I was prepared to do it once the need arose. The wifey has never complained about the Mav but complains about the leather seats in her Malibu Premier that came with a cooling package (not my problem, yet). Maybe I need to go to the doctor to see why I'm not sweating...... Naw, not broke, won't try to fix it or spend money on it.

Unrelated but whatever happened to crotch vents? I feel like those would come in real handy this time of year.
Don't wear pants. Or, just wear chaps in case you need to exit the car in a police stop.

i’ve had a few vehicles that had air conditioned seat and rarely used them I live in balmy Florida and I haven’t had any issues with my back sweating in my 2025 Lariat even on extended drives but I do stay away from wool or knitted clothing and opt for breathable fabrics

I sit up so that my back doesn't touch the seat back. My wife sits up so her back it off the seat back and with her legs spread some to get maximum surface cooling area.

I clicked the image but it didn't get any bigger

Bought an XLT for just this reason.
