Too much worrying, not enough driving .
Live life , there will be ebay replacements within a year or 2 probably barely more expensive than a full tank of gas will be .
Aftermarket has come out with new more optioned versions , probably made in the same small village in china of 4 million as the original cast boxes were at half the oem price . Those will soon have competion down to half price of those ( down to $250-300) which will put used ebay ones down to the $120 level within a couple years . I spent $80 to fill the tank up here in socal just recently , sooooo i wouldnt waste the worry on it . Go adventure with the truck! Park it in the sun , snow , get it muddy and run it through a brushed car wash !
Just dont worry about it! Its a tool to life , and resale is not going to matter in a couple years when average used price of a maverick hits under $15k .
We are already seeing sub $20k .
Its not a resale investment , will never be a collector vehicle, wont even go up in value again ( unless all manufacturing facilities blow up).these will be the $5-6 k entry level truck in high school parking lots in about 5 years .Just the facts .The housing , drivers and leds will probably make the ride to that point no problem with out an accident involved.
Ahhh, I get where you are coming from, but I just can't wrap my head around those brush car washes up here in winter loaded with frozen brush bristles, road sand, salt, de-icing brine and lots of other things most environmentalists would have a shit fit over if they knew.

Those are not remotely comparable and most led bulbs in homes fail due to surges in the power supply.
Led's are dc devices. A 120v led bulb is a group of multiple led's which vary in number to provide different luminosity. A cheap AC led say with 7 led elements flashes from off to on to off and staying off while wave is negative. More prone to flickering when on some types of dimmers. Flicker free LEDs will have a second string of elements that are wired with reversed polarity so they are flashing out of sequence with first string. All that turning on and off is hard on the element. If you have led bulbs you should definitely have whole home surge protectors as well as soft start capacitors on things like air conditioning compressors (higher quality ones may come with easy on designs).

In most cases, you won't reach the 50,000 hrs theoretical service life (LED half-brightness life). We've all seen new to 15 year old "one-eyed" vehicles with failed LED headlamps or running lamps.

The likely failure will be the power/current regulating part of the headlight; heat cycling, high ambient temps, surges in the 12v power supply (i.e. jump starting with headlights on), solder joint failure (heat and vibration), ceramic cap cracking, tin whiskers on lead-free solder joints...

The second likely failure will be an individual LED; heat cycling and vibration compromising the tiny wire welds or attachment pads, within the encapsulated LED package.

Although Ford doesn't release test data, am guessing closer to 10,000 hrs MTTF. Or 5 to 7 years of headlight run time.

This suspected stat, and decades experience with LED illumination, is also why I disabled daytime running lights right away (U.S. vehicles, only I'm told).

I am hoping by the time a headlight fails, there will be robust, cost effective aftermarket choices. Or, I can do surgery on the headlamp. :)
Someone a short time back posted how he dismantled his headlight housing made his change (I don't remember what) and put them back together.

The Maverick headlights are fixed/non-serviceable LEDs with lifespans that probably approach 50,000 hours, if not more.
The OEM headlight modules will likely outlive a significant portion of this forum…
I see non-functional OEM LEDs on vehicles almost every day. All fairly new vehicles.

I agree. I've seen a good many fairly new GM vehicles with some out, also recently saw a fairly new F150 with one out, but I can't say 100% they were LED's, but if I was a betting man I'd bet they were. All have been very recent body styles.

Oddly, I saw LED lamp failures (DRL and headlamps) on Mercedes and Nissans first, years ago, then some GM CUV's. Once you look for them, you see more of them.

Of course, you can have a false positive for some vehicles that shutoff the DRL's on the side that has a flashing turn signal.

And of course, actual service life spans can vary quite a bit, depending on DRL use, dusk/night driving habits, high ambient temps, additional solar heat gain on the headlamps (driving West in the evening), all which take their toll on the power supply components and on the LED's themselves (heat is their #1 enemy).

I saw several comments about replacements should be available by the time they are needed for the truck.

Seems many know about other makes/models years ago that started using LED headlamps.

What model years - and what are their replacement options now?

Seems there would already be some data as to what might happen 10 yrs down the road, maybe 5-7 yrs if the plastic is as cheap as the windshield appears to be.

Well that's 60.00 wasted. Guess if I want brighter bulbs I'll tape flashlights to the fenders.

And the plastic type that automakers use, might be by design.

I had an F-150 for over 20 years of sitting in the sun. The clear headlight lenses turned to a frosty yellow color (not nearly as bad as Toyotas do, though). I finally bought a replacement set of headlight assemblies for it online. $50 for a pair - including the Halogen bulbs. Someone posted on here that the Maverick's headlight assemblies are over $1K each. 🙄
Not so, I just saw some on sale for 999.00

You might also try adjusting the headlights per the manual. Some folks say the OEM headlights are horrible, while others think they are great. Other than the cleanliness of the vehicle, aim is the only other lighting variable between trucks of the same trim level.

Yesterday I saw a pickup with about a 36" LED light bar turned on just before high noon which was attached to hood near the windshield!!!(?).

LED light bulbs are not remotely comparable to the quality and heat management you get in automotive applications. (or commercial light fixtures, as another example.)

Everyone who is buying LED bulbs for their house is experiencing dramatically shorter than advertised life; your experience is the same as mine.

I don't expect the lenses to last. I very much doubt they're acrylic or anything similarly tough. They're probably very typical polycarbonate and they will scratch and yellow with time, and especially if subjected to car washes with brushes.
My 2011 Ford Taurus headlight units were 13 years old when I sold it, and the lenses were as clear as new when that happened. That car sat outside year round in Ontario. They will probably outlast the Maverick.

I'm going to guess that your Ontario sun is not like my Florida sun.
