The LED headlights, on all models, are not serviceable or replaceable. if one ever fails, you have to replace the entire headlamp.
XL and XLT models - $1,200-$1,400
Lariat - $1,000

That is part cost only. does not include installation

Having a hard time with the fact that the led headlamps need to be replaced as a unit, costing over $1,000,(each)gnaws at me a bit. LED's are rated at 30,000 hours which should be good for 10 years makes it a bit more palatable, I guess?

Is that really the cost of replacement of the LED light? Got a link to parts?

It was posted on here last night.
There will be many replacement options in the future. The 2021 Ranger headlights are available for 500 for a pair now. With the numbers of Mavs they will produce ( someday lol ) the price wont be 1000.00 for a replacement unless you order from the parts department at a dealership .....

The Ford Maverick aftermarket is going to be huge, I promise you.

Defective headlights are likely to fail within the warranty period, costing you nothing, and by the time normal headlights that weren't built with a defect fail they will likely be obsolete anyway considering the rapid pace of improvement in LED technology every couple of years.

You'll want to upgrade to much cooler aftermarket headlights with switchback blinkers and what not by then at a fraction of the cost.

Didn't read that thread entirely but damn - that is pricey as can be. I'm sure those costs will come down a little as the truck ages but not much.

Does make me think the ESP is probably a good option.

There's a $75 option to add lighting coverage which includes the LED headlights.
Seems entirely reasonable based on how often I replace these "15 year" LED bulbs in my house I don't have much faith an LED fixture will stand the test of time getting bounced around subjected to temp cycles etc.

It's optional extra coverage when buying a Ford PremiumCare warranty. So be it with your original purchase dealer or one of the online sellers like Flood Ford, Ziegler, etc. (although obviously Florida has special restrictions)

I've never had to replace a headlight assembly on any vehicle so I consider this a non-issue with LEDs. If it's going to fail, it will very very likely be within the warranty period.

Sounds like it might be an issue with your power. I've been pretty much all LED for almost a decade, and haven't had to replace any bulbs.
