I ordered my hybrid in August. I received an email stating I could expect it in January
Delivered in January? So the truck has been built or is being built? Did you receive an earlier email from Ford notifying you of the build date?

Hang in there. Maverick is an awesome little truck. But pound the pavement and hit dealers in case you find one. Just be ready to move on it. I found one! Couldn’t be happier. Bedliner can wait.

The frequent complaints about the build to order process points to the flaw in Ford's plans to expand the program. Buyers are simply too impatient to wait, even for a brand new model that just went into production 2 months ago.
We have grown accustomed to the Amazon business case and expect equivalent service on all orders. We should expect a long lead time. We ordered a new vehicle before it went into production, during a pandemic, during a part shortage. I do believe Ford needs to improve their communication though. I didn't receive conformation of my order until 40 days after the dealer placed the order. I then was told I could expect my hybrid in three months 37 days after the confirmation letter.

No. No build or delivery date.
Ordered on Aug 8.
Received a order conformation letter on Sept 11.
I received an email on Oct 21 stating, "The first 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid pickups will be on their way in a few short months."..."Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated."
January is just a guess based on the little information I have received.

People seem to think ordering a brand new model truck in high demand is no different than ordering a pair of shoes on Amazon.

So, I was all excited about ordering a Maverick and then.... I found this forum. I've perused several threads and it seems like lots of issues with the build and delivery process. That seems to be more of the rule than exception. I am trying to figure out what I can reasonable expect, if I order an XL with a spray in bedliner and perhaps a sunroof. Are we talking around 6 months?
I ordered on July 2nd, XLT AWD with The Luxury Package, the Ford360 and a Moon Roof in Hot Pepper Red. Been delayed twice and I have a "supposed" build date of the last week of November. Not holding my breath but it was an Anniversary Present for my Wife but me it'll be a Christmas Present now, maybe:) Good luck and hang in there, hopefully this will be worth the wait:)

i think we have all been led to expect fast delivery these days. I remember ordering as a kid and was supposed to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery of a baking powder scuba diver from a cereal box and bugging my mom when it took 3- 4 months. Just remember that in these days if they don't hurry up, you'll have to wait some more! Buy your ticket and take your ride! It was worth the wait for me but your mileage may vary. Good luck.

I ordered my 2.0 on 8/14 and I just received a call from my dealership that it arrived today.

That email you received was sent to every hybrid order holder. You won't see it in January unless you have a scheduled build date for late Nov. to mid December. If you don't even have a build date scheduled yet, I would bet donuts to dollars that you won't see your order delivered until March at the earliest.

I ordered a Hybrid mid June and do not have a build scheduled. I am anticipating March delivery at the earliest... I am at a 02 priority code (have been for a couple of weeks), but that March timeline is just wishful thinking on my part at this point.

Residing where a week between ordering at Amazon and receiving delivery falls under the category of super speedy (and unusual), my patience remains intact.

I collect statues, these delays are nothing compared to that hobby, lol.

I am also dealing with military sales, so my flow of information is off. I do have a Vin so I assume that means I have a scheduled build date but couldn’t tell you what it is.

I think you have to give ford at least 60% of the credit for all these people expecting their truck so soon. They are not properly setting expectations, and aren't open about the scheduling process. I mean I really don't expect them to strictly follow a first ordered first built process but they could be a lot more open about how they are doing it. Even adding another tier of pending scheduling would help. As of this moment I have been told I my order has been accepted and I have signed a dora and they took a copy of my license and my deposit, and I even got the your order was placed from ford.... but based on the information in this forum none of that actually proves anything. An email from ford telling me that my order is expected to be schedule in December, or January, etc... would go a long way.

6 months is a decent ballpark for a hybrid (ecoboost should be faster), but don't hold anyone to it - could be 7 or 8. I ordered last month and I'm hoping to have it May 2022. There are definitely some logistical/delivery issues, but so far not many build quality issues reported on the forum.

I would say your decision depends on how long you are willing to wait for a new truck. I think it's worth it since there is nothing else out there this affordable and practical, and my current car works fine.
I ordered on 6-19-21 and received a build order for 11-22-21. So probably will not get it until late December.
