I collect statues, these delays are nothing compared to that hobby, lol.

I am also dealing with military sales, so my flow of information is off. I do have a Vin so I assume that means I have a scheduled build date but couldn’t tell you what it is.
Have you put your VIN and order number into the tracker?

i have a weird order number but I’m overseas dealing with Military Auto Sales and that order doesn’t work with the vin. It pops up on the module page (nothing there yet) and one other site but the window sticker doesn’t exist yet either. I just figure I’m scheduled but no way of knowing when.

i think we have all been led to expect fast delivery these days. I remember ordering as a kid and was supposed to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery of a baking powder scuba diver from a cereal box and bugging my mom when it took 3- 4 months. Just remember that in these days if they don't hurry up, you'll have to wait some more! Buy your ticket and take your ride! It was worth the wait for me but your mileage may vary. Good luck.
If I could only palm a couple Box Tops to someone that could get me scheduled.

I think the waiting issue has more to do with how people bought cars for decades. It was faster than Amazon.

You decide you want a car and you can go out that day and be back with one in a few hours. Sure you might have to make a compromise on options sometimes, although I usually found exactly what I wanted by visiting multiple dealerships. It was instant for the most part unless you decided to special order.

I only ordered recently so am prepared to wait. But in a way, I wish I could just go to the lot and pick one out. That was part of the fun walking tnrough the cars.

I think the lack of information and confusion from Ford and the dealers is just compounding the problems. Some things they can't help, but others they can.

No. No build or delivery date.
Ordered on Aug 8.
Received a order conformation letter on Sept 11.
I received an email on Oct 21 stating, "The first 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid pickups will be on their way in a few short months."..."Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated."
January is just a guess based on the little information I have received.
Not sure how you got January out of that email, if your build has not yet been scheduled there is literally zero chance that is happening. Many of us who ordered way before you (I was mid-June) have not had their build scheduled yet and therefore are hoping for early spring.

Yep, that is one flaw. Of course, some others that aren't quite as easily blamed on the consumer:
  1. Taking orders "for Fall delivery", but being unable to sell a single one of your standard models until a couple weeks before Fall ends.
  2. Tracker systems regularly going offline and being inaccessible for a day or more at a time.
  3. Tracker systems regularly misreporting status of vehicles.
  4. Ford's online/phone support being able to provide almost ZERO information/support on orders other than verifying that you placed an order.
  5. Erratic and sometimes non existent communication with the customers that have placed orders throughout the entire process.
  6. EXTREME variations in order processing and flow so that it's nearly impossible to formulate an accurate ETA that's smaller than a 6 month window.
So, I agree that there are a LOT of unrealistic folks that are expecting "Amazon level" accuracy in their tracking and don't seem to understand that material delays are part of life now.
I ALSO think that if any company I'd ever worked for produced the level of quality that these trackers provide, there'd be a metric shit ton of folks getting fired REAL QUICK LIKE.
And to think one time I saw a native American who could tell the calvary officer what the sex of the horse that was being ridden 6 miles away.

Salesperson at dealership today told me Ford is finished taking hybrid orders and is about to close out ecoboost orders very soon. Not sure how accurate that statement was.

Funny how we as humans always go to the negative; however let me respectfully suggest a more healthy approach. The posters that ordered in June, July, August did so before any production took place. it’s fair that these posters are upset to see others later placed orders move in front of theirs.

But keep in mind that Ford is trying to spread orders out across the dealer network in a way that’s reasonably fair, and allows dealerships to book some sales to keep their doors open, and their lights on. The truth is that some folks just didn’t make the first cut in production and may not make the second cut either, just because they have too many people in front of them in their region.

However, that shouldn’t play into your decision because they will make the third or fourth round of production and hopefully yours will too if you just hang in there. Oh and dealerships are probably just pushing for more eco boost orders to even out the original production forecast. Rule #1 never trust a dealer, even if you have it in writing!

The frequent complaints about the build to order process points to the flaw in Ford's plans to expand the program. Buyers are simply too impatient to wait, even for a brand new model that just went into production 2 months ago.
Expand the program how?

That email you received was sent to every hybrid order holder. You won't see it in January unless you have a scheduled build date for late Nov. to mid December. If you don't even have a build date scheduled yet, I would bet donuts to dollars that you won't see your order delivered until March at the earliest.

I ordered a Hybrid mid June and do not have a build scheduled. I am anticipating March delivery at the earliest... I am at a 02 priority code (have been for a couple of weeks), but that March timeline is just wishful thinking on my part at this point.
