I have owned 2 Lariat's and 2 XLT's, all with the 2.0 and 4k. Now that I am an old geezer I appreciate the extra visual aid stuff to help keep me out of trouble. Other than the ACC on my 25 Lariat I would be just as happy with a XLT as I actually prefer the cloth seats.
I sold my 22 XLT for 29k and bought my 25 Lariat for 38 OTD so was it worth the extra 9k?
Jury is still out. :)
After 6 months with this Lariat I realize I don't really need/use all the additional options except I am really liking the ACC, the bigger screen and sync 4.

Not so far.

Perhaps the only regrets I have is not finding one w/ ACC as well as 4k tow and even AWD. I rarely tow anything and avoid slick or off roads, but I love the premium sound and native satellite radio, etc.

I'm not gonna lie. I got the XLT because it was as much truck as I could afford. But if I had the money, I would have gotten a fully loaded Lariat in a heartbeat just for the adaptive cruise control and the faux leather seats. I know it isn't real leather but it's 100x more convincing than the vinyl that was common the 1970s. Anyway, I'm just a bit jealous of the Lariat owners. Maybe next time, I'll be able to get one too
I have 3 young kids and 2 dogs. I love the ActiveX seats because a microfiber towel with hot water keeps them nice and clean.

Buy once; cry once.

I bought my truck with the intention of running the wheels off it, getting new wheels, and running those off. So, I had no heartburn with spending a little more and getting exactly what I wanted. Given I put roughly 6,000 miles a year on it, I am on pace to get 20+ years out of this truck unless I hand it down to my son.

The auto-cruise and lane-centering are great adds. Also, the leather wrapped steering wheel is very soft! So to me, yes, the Lariat is worth every penny.
Some people (not you Cherokee)
I am very happy with my 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid I’d do it again no regrets here

Nice truck!
knock the Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering. They must not know how to use them. They are fantastic features.

There's a lot of talk on here and in general, online, about how the lariat isn't "worth it" and "you're turning a 20k truck into a 50k truck" etc. But has anyone genuinely regretted getting the lariat? I'm asking for 2 reasons,

1. This is anecdotal, but I would make the decision again in a heartbeat. I love it, and i love every extra little feature it includes. I think the argument that I could get a ranger for the same price is a stupid argument because I don't need the extra capability of a ranger and I want the extra features that wouldn't come with a base model ranger. It's like asking why wouldn't someone get a mustang instead of a miata. Some people just want the miata.
2. I frequently see people spend more money modifying their trucklets to copy a Lariat than had they just gone with it in the first place. 1000$ seat covers, thousands in speaker upgrades, diy wireless charging/400w bed plug etc etc. Seems like they should have just got the lariat in the first place.
What are your guys thoughts?
Zero regrets not getting a Lariat.

I’m super happy with all my Lariat extras.
My next Mav will be a Lariat.
What stands out the most to me is the super quiet cabin and the B&O stereo.
Well said, my frien!

I’ve had mine for almost 3 1/2 years now with no regrets but sometimes I think I should have kept my old Dodge Ram that I had for 19 years! I had over 20k posts on Dodge Truck World!!

Well said, my frien!
I wish I had adaptive cruise. I'm sure I'd enjoy the more quiet interior and improved sound system. But I'm ok with it as it is. If I paid for other Lariat specific features , I wouldn't have any regrets. But I WANT the adaptive cruise. I just wasn't in the financial position to get a Lariat at the time. If I get another in the future, I hope to get a Lariat.

Darryl- congrats on your MavericK. You’ll get there On the full Lariat. I read from the people who trash the adaptive cruise control. It’s the best thing since sliced bread. I also have a 2016 Mustang Convertible with regular cruise control. I have to remember that my Mustang doesn’t “adapt” to cars in front of me.

I chose the Lariat trim to come as close as I could to my Subaru Outback Limited features. I love the Adaptive Cruise/lane-keeping and non-cloth seats the most of all the other 'pluses' over the XLT. The lariat is also quieter than the Outback at 75+.

I gotta be careful in my 2024 Lariat Ecoboost.
It’s so quiet it’ll put me to sleep.
Rides like a mid size sedan,
Has the power feel of the V-8’s from the 80’s and 90’s
