Cool Maverick! Is that your first one?
NO! my first Maverick was a 1971 2 door, 6 cylinder 3 on the tree, $1600. basic car, that I used to drive back in the gas shortage days that got 28mpg. When I heard the new maverick was coming out, I ordered a loaded Hybrid Lariat on 7/5/21, it cost $32,200.

Got my Lariat in July 2024 and I have exactly 10,560 miles on it (looking at Ford Pass). Remote start, heated seats and steering wheel are my favorite features... the B&O stereo is really nice - Sync 3 works perfect. I have the Hybrid and I reset the average mpg at 5000 miles and it reads 35.1 mpg. My son has the 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid and is the main reason I got the Lariat. My other vehicles are a 1993 Corvette (C4, LT1 350 automatic) and a 2006 Ford F150 XLT (4.6L, 2wd, crew cab).

There are still folks that believe there was a $19,995 XL which there never was (add delivery charge) and that Lariats sell for $50K which they don't.

An absolute bare bones '25 XL is $28590 and a range topping Lariat Lobo $42345 which of course you can bump that price up a little with a sunroof and some other accessories.
My 2024 Maverick Hybrid Lariat, Atlas Blue: Gross selling price: $36,190 (includes delivery charge)
Sales Tax: $1,357
Title: $16
======
$37,563 out the door

There's a lot of talk on here and in general, online, about how the lariat isn't "worth it" and "you're turning a 20k truck into a 50k truck" etc. But has anyone genuinely regretted getting the lariat? I'm asking for 2 reasons,

1. This is anecdotal, but I would make the decision again in a heartbeat. I love it, and i love every extra little feature it includes. I think the argument that I could get a ranger for the same price is a stupid argument because I don't need the extra capability of a ranger and I want the extra features that wouldn't come with a base model ranger. It's like asking why wouldn't someone get a mustang instead of a miata. Some people just want the miata.
2. I frequently see people spend more money modifying their trucklets to copy a Lariat than had they just gone with it in the first place. 1000$ seat covers, thousands in speaker upgrades, diy wireless charging/400w bed plug etc etc. Seems like they should have just got the lariat in the first place.
What are your guys thoughts?
I have a 2024 Lariat Tremor.I think it’s a great vehicle and it’s really the only Maverick version I would ever think of purchasing

I bought the lariat for adaptive cruise control and Lane centering. Everything else was just icing. I also wanted FX4 and 4K. I would have bought a 2025, but only for the improved 2L with the port injection. But in Ford's infinite wisdom they removed the FX4 option from the lariat, and I'm not stepping up to a tremor and loosing the 4K towing. Sometimes I think the marketing guys and engineers at auto manufacturers have rocks in their head. I used to build cars for GM, every time we launched a new vehicle they would send down the core team of engineers to walk them down the line. Some of them aren't really that bright, they just have degrees.

Before I took it off the lot I made sure everything worked and there were no recalls on my 2024 Eco Lariat.

But when I first walked into the show room I saw the color and it was way down at the end. Past the Raptors. Cowboy Cadillac’s are not my thing.

My kid brain did this to me :

Wassat ? Oh yeah, Hot Pepper Red !
Wait a dang second, hold the phone !
The fake fender vent, sez right there.
It’s a Lariat. !
The sales lady saw me grinning like an Idiot. She just got a sale and didn’t even have to kiss my ass.

My brain was definitely in Kid mode. Besides a loaded XLT was not that much less and was missing a few toys I wanted.

Regrets, nada, I’m good.

I went just the opposite, Last year I ordered a XLT but the dealer would not respond to me about the order status. After waiting for 11 months I ended up buy a Chevy Trailblazer. ( I needed a vehicle that I could flat tow)

This winter I was in Florida and they had plenty of Mavericks in stock. On a whim I bought a Lariat and am VERY glad my XLT never came in. I think it is well worth the extra money.

Aren’t any vehicle on the market subject to - high ARP, etc, etc.?
If you can't afford the vehicle you want, look for a certified or off leased one from a dealer. They are the best bang for your buck out there.

I wanted the Lariat because of the seats, and the audio system. No other way to get those items on my 23.

My decision to purchase a 2025 Lariat AWD Maverick was a great choice I’d do it again

I love that green. Was not available when I bought my 23 so I got Hot pepper red and I love it.

Thanks Jim I love it, honestly I didn’t pick the color this truck became available the day after it arrived after the customer that ordered it failed to take delivery so I purchased it without having to wait on a build - I do love it the color definitely grew on me and when it’s clean it looks amazing and it’s always clean lol
