Here’s hoping that when our 2023 is finally delivered (built right at the end of September) all of these TSB-related updates will have been done during the build. We shall see (soon, I hope!)

TSB 22-2493 is the one I had done already. The issue came back over time, maybe slightly less severe.

There is also TSB 22-2309, which is more recent, but I think TSB# 23-2248 looks like the latest and greatest attempt to fix the issue (see my edited post above).

Yes, the service department at the closest Ford dealership is also complete clueless and unwilling to research the Maverick.

I'm at the point I buy Forscan and check SW versions myself.

I'm not super worried about getting the emissions recall done, from my understanding, it essentially just said at highway speeds, the maverick could increase its emissions output or something. That doesn't sound like an issue really, and our truck has spent 90% of its life driving at slower speeds. But I'm glad that addresses it as well.

I wasn't worried about it, they just did it. I have not had any previous TSBs installed. Ford just combined a bunch of updates into one, which saves you time, especially with some of the stubborn service advisers. I swear each one gives me a different story when I book an appointment, or visit the dealership.

This is MUCH more detail than I got when they did 23E09B on mine. All it said was update PCM to latest software.

I bought my Maverick secondhand. Is there anyway to check if the updates were done?

Call a local dealer and give them your VIN.

I feel I've been fortunate that I haven't had any issues since receiving my truck. That being said, does the Ford Pass app alert you about these TSB's like it would any recall or is it up to me to verify?

Recalls? Ford will notify you.

TSBs? I’ve never received any notification on these. Forums like MTC have been really helpful in that way.

My 2023 delivered in August 2023 has had no brake issue and i was looking for it. I assume it has the latest software. So it sounds like software does really fix the issue. I was worried when i got mine the past August.

Same here, on my Oct. '23 delivered '23 XLT hybrid. I've had no brake problems that I've noticed in the first 400 miles driven.

Holy crap, the brakes in the hybrid are actually pretty smooth now, and the shudder is gone. I hope this is a permanent improvement, night and day difference my friends.

Yup, after the update , I haven’t had an occurrence of grabby brakes or the very light shudder. They came to my house and did 2 different TSB. I did have one episode, soon after the update, of a really scary loud shudder as I was driving about 20 mph but it only happened once. Scared the **** out of me!!

Yeah, at it's worst, the shudder was like a rumble strip level sound and vibration for us. That's what convinced me to take it in. It was only that bad maybe half a dozen times over the course of a year, but was still a mild concern. Glad we did it.

Hope there is no new issues coming with the Maverick software update. Well try it but I am gun shy of Fords software updates as our F350 went from 20 MPG to 12 MPG with fords software updates. Love the Maverick with the exception of the brake grabbing, it has become a family member.
