Does anyone have any stats on the mileage these vehicles had on them when they caught on fire? If we decide to have our own mechanic drop the pan and check the bearings, does that void the warranty?

Don’t have a lot of faith in the dealer mechanics. I’m going to start a recording on my phone every time I start the truck and see if I can record the event. It would be impossible to fix or even guess what the cause is unless the mechanic can reproduce the problem. Thanks for your input.

Just happened again this morning, feels like the engine is shaking, won’t stop until I turn it off. The only thing I noticed was that the AC was on when starting so I will be sure to turn it off and see if it makes a difference.

Sounds like the same thing I experienced, twice now. Both times I shut it off and restarted it. Scary! It was not a remote start.

I don’t think so but I’ll watch for that in the future.

Recently when I started my Mav, it started making loud noises and seemed jumpy. My husband said it was not in park when started and that was the problem?? Anyone else experience this? It has happened twice now??

Nothing like a new vehicle to make my Christmas list. Got new floor mats, brake light that fits in the hitch receiver and carbon fiber “Maverick” letters for the tail gate. Also a seat pad to raise the seat height.

thanks for your input, my F150 had adjustable pedals which made a big difference in the seating position also.
