Besides filling the gas tank, a soft tonneau cover from Amazon. Have added a couple of interior organizers and a jump pack I got at Costco. That’s about it (2023 Lariat hybrid).
We have had a 2023 for 13 months now. I put a MaxMate soft cover on it immediately. We have no garage and live just south of Seattle, yet took a couple of road trips to the Southwest this summer which included 80+ mph freeway stretches. The cover has been just fine with virtually no leaks. I’m...
I’m most like A on road trips like we are on now. If we are staying local I will fill it a little sooner. Got to about 35 miles estimated range remaining last night and again this evening.
I always fill it up when I do put fuel in. I’ve been keeping gas mileage and maintenance logs since my...
Update since my December 17th post. We took the Maverick on a short road trip in late January (2 1/2 hours each way) and it had not been driven since January 27th until earlier today. I got the first "deep sleep" message from FordPass on February 5th and just let it sit after verifying it...
I'm 68. There is a Maverick and a Kia Soul (EV) in the driveway. I also paid cash for the Maverick (though that's a first for me).
I'm glad I don't watch many commercials these days (including the annoying video ads on this forum).
Well....considering I've only had it for a few weeks, all is well. We've had quite a bit more rain, and taken the Mav on one little trip in the last couple of weeks. I just looked in the bed and it's pretty dry in there.
So...so far, so good.
Some added info. Our Lariat had been sitting un-driven for nearly two weeks when I noticed the dome lights not coming on (which eventually led me to finding this thread). Yesterday evening I checked the voltage at the jump points: 11.95V.
Today we drove it to church (about 7 miles) and had dome...
I've read (some skimming) through this thread as my new 2023 Lariat Lux hybrid (about a month in our driveway now, 935 miles) didn't turn on the dome lights when I opened the doors yesterday. They come on if I switch them on with the button. It hasn't been driven in at least a week.
I will...
Our other car is a 2016 Soul EV. We love it and it is our around-town do almost everything vehicle. It can be seen next to the Mav in my avatar picture.
Well, since I haven't actually used them, I can't say for sure. This is what I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BR8UAO?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
They are similar to the ones I've used on the Mazda (which was traded in on the Maverick) but not quite the same. That set served me...
Five purchased items:
Tire chains (going to a concert in a couple of weeks, snow encounter is likely)
Spare batteries for keyfobs to keep in vehicle
Items I saw recommended here:
Glovebox organizer insert
MaxMate rollup tonneau cover
Console organizer
Also, stuff moved over from the car it...
I had lunch with some former colleagues up in Renton and swung by Bowen Scarff on the way back home this afternoon. I cruised the lots in front of the dealership (both retail and fleet lots) and saw zero Mavericks. There were three (or more) Mach-Es, two Lightinings and three Rangers, as well as...
I should go up the road and drop in on Bowen Scarff and see what’s actually there. They took a bunch of orders while the order banks were open for 2023s and when they wouldn’t take mine I went a little south and ordered from Way Scarrf in Auburn. We got our Lariat hybrid about three weeks ago...
All the discussion about various warming strategies notwithstanding, if you are running it for 15 minutes in your driveway you are getting zero miles per gallon for 15 minutes. Of course that’s going to lower your average mileage.
I very much remember jockeying a manual choke on Mazda rotaries...
So far all ARE, apparently. The windoors bed access aspect is worth thinking about. I was thinking screened sliders mainly for simplicity and perhaps making unauthorized access slightly more difficult.
We have no pets anymore, so that is not a consideration.
The main reason for a cap is dry...
We've had a Lariat hybrid for just over two weeks. We had pretty much planned to put a cap on it as we had them on the two prior little pickups we had (Mazda B2200, then B2600i).
In looking about it appears there are two major choices: ARE and SnugTop/Leer.
First of all, are there any "don''t...
Bunk bed set. First haul of any real weight in our just-received Lariat hybrid. There was also a stepladder in here on the leg between the bed pickup and home...but I didn't take a picture. This was taken just before the unload.
That's a great list. Thank you!!
Here's one more to add....though their site is down as I type this: heliovr.com
These are small trailers made in Canada.
I don't know if anything that Escape in Chilliwack BC makes is small enough to be on your list.
