Anyone have issues with their gear dial? Saturday I swear I put it in park and the car started to roll away when I let off the brake. Then on Sunday after coming back to the parked car I tried to start and it said place vehicle in park. Had to cycle the dial and put back in park position to start vehicle. Maybe mine is failing like my window seals and ticking windshield. Someone said these trucks won’t age well and I agree.
I have had one of my Mavericks for just over a year and have not found an issue with anything aging poorly. It looks and runs as good as it did day one.

I want to air my grievance. I am mildly annoyed that I can spin my gear dial clockwise past the "D" position...

...that is all. Good day.
I doubt I will like not having a gear shift either. That is assuming Ford ever actually gets their act together. I should probably be more patient. It has only been 13 months. I mean, it is not like they are building something easy like Maple Leaf Gardens which only took 12 months.

I much prefer the old school button on the floor.
I wish they would bring that back.

My 2019 fusion had a shifter dial that would stop at Park and Drive on each end. Honestly I preffered that to the endless spinning of the Mav, but I'll get used to it.

I know, but on the next car you buy you'll have to select the driving mode online and there will be a credit card slot for you to pay for the options you use. Welcome to the present.
Isn't that what the slot is for on the Maverick console for when Ford decides to start charging you whenever you want to use one of the options? You just insert your credit card and you're good to go.

So has anyone turned the volume or fan dials to change gear???? Not admitting anything myself , but glad I haven't turned the wrong dial to turn the volume down. :p

We might as well get used to the Dial-a-Gear , it’s in all Fords.

This is my first vehicle with the rotary gear knob. What I really miss is a place to rest my hand as I drive……..Enter Prototype # 1

Yes, it’s a fake gear shift. A T-handle from Advanced Auto and some Shop Vac adapters that I had laying around the garage. I thought if this was viable, I would get it 3D Printed. I’m not completely sold on my idea, it’s a little too far away from the arm rest and is a bit awkward. Any feed back would be great, plus It needs a name: “Schtickshift, “Faux on the floor” (you see where I’m going here?) I’m sure y’all have some ideas.
