Accessories. Something that will fit between the seat and the running board and actually clean all the stuff that collects there and is next to impossible to remove with a regular nozzle.
Stopped at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago. The guy running it said his wife wanted to buy my Maverick. I told him my niece had a Suburu for sale that he would look good in. Nothing said afterwards.
I got a notice yesterday and thought it was for my 22 Maverick and just put it aside because it said they didn't have the parts to fix it anyway. Checked again and it's for my son's 21 Escape.
I'm looking into getting a set of the Michelin Defenders. Ford has a buy three get one for $1 deal going until the end of the month. There's also supposed to be a $100 rebate but I haven't found anything on it and the service guy didn't know anything about it although it shows up on the quote...
Yep, most college towns have a radio station run by students. The one out of East Lansing and Michigan State University is pretty good WDBM - Impact 89 - Indie/Alternative music. The frequency is 88.9. It's online too.
The $10/month (now $12.80) isn't that bad of a deal. It used to be $25 or so and you had to call to get it down to $6 or so for a few months. I think they finally realized they could keep more customers at the $10/month and didn't force them to call every few months to get the lower prices. They...
Here's how I found out which inverter was bad, there's three of them in the 22 Lariat:
Mine was out on the back of the console and it ended up being one of the inverters. I think there's three of them. Ford fixed it by swapping in another known good inverter until they found the one that was bad.
From all the complaints about the Maverick on this forum I must have gotten a reverse lemon. There's been a couple things that were promptly fixed by Ford but for a $30k truck I don't really have any complaints.
Left my Maverick at the airport on Saturday. Sunday I got a deep sleep notification. We get back late Friday and temps are supposed to be around -15. How screwed am I?
Ford gave me 9 oil changes up to a maximum of 75k miles for letting the dealer keep my Maverick for a few days to figure out an issue with the power inverters. I did the math with the miles left and it came out to one every 5k miles. Dealer figured out the problem, I got the oil changes, and...
I've got free oil changes until 75k miles, otherwise it would be around $96 for oil change, tire rotation and whatever other checks they do at the dealer. I get it done every 5k miles.
