My Wife ,unfortunately even with remote entry, she had the key flipped out on the remote ,and when she opened the door caught the paint above door handle.
So keep locked in close position when opening door, or hold sn other hand.

I hear you. That flip key was one of the reasons that I traded my '24 Maverick XLT in along with the constant battery drain issue. It's a small thing, but it can make a difference on overall owner satisfaction.

Mine as well. I got this small box of paint protection a couple of years ago for the door handles, part # F81Z 25292A22 AA. Doesn't stop her from scratching up the interior plastic though lol.

first scratches in 2 years? I'm so jealous... Just painted my Maverick after only 15 months.... multiple motorcycle accidents (1 a hit/run) and random vandalism. Get it home today.. Thank goodness it came out so good.

But it does have a small bump in the metal because I left my recovery hitch on the bumper and released the tailgate.
