As I stated earlier, Ford MARKETS these as trucks. Why do you suppose they are in the car section of the parts catalog?
When I look up a Maverick in the FORD parts catalog, it's listed under the car section, not trucks. So, to answer your question, FORD says it's a car.

I installed mine on my lunch break yesterday, took about 10 minutes. I was surprised at the quality of it, certainly expected some BS but went on easy, looks pretty good and I expect it will be good for my intentions.

Ford pays for rentals while warranty work is being done, we have a fleet of rentals just for that purpose. You may have to call Ford's customer service line if your dealer won't or can't provide one.
I really don't understand the hatred for physical media on this forum. I love owning CD's. I like to listen to one album at a time with no commercials. Even if I chose to pay for Spotify or any equivalent they let you choose the playlist to start then inevitably go with some trash that has me...
