New battery was installed, I believe it is the AGM type, 36 month replacement warranty (7 year pro-rated warranty).
This is a great warranty!!! Is it a Ford battery?

Decided I’ve had enough. I can’t see anything in the truck when I open it up in the garage. Between that and the Bluetooth that still drops despite multiple “fixes”, I’m gonna sell it.

Went to the dealer with the Battery Saver problem today (since Christmas it's become more frequent). They did tests on the original battery...it failed the Rotunda test, and indicated replacement was needed.

New battery was installed, I believe it is the AGM type, 36 month replacement warranty (7 year pro-rated warranty).

They also provided me with a copy of SSM 53087, which Ford is claiming to have a fix sometime the first quarter of this year.

We'll see how things go from here.
I don't think they have an AGM battery replacement yet. I am sure it is the same stock number as the old one. Most likely will be OK for a while then do the same thing. Hopefully the software update will take care of this issue and let the alternator start more fully charging the battery.

Yes.
$247.94 plus tax for the battery, $92.26 for labor.

With 41,000 miles the old battery was not covered under 3/36000, but at least the points will go toward the next oil change.

It's listed as BXT*99RT4*A on the invoice.

With the well known battery issue Ford should NOT have charged you for that battery strictly as a goodwill measure if nothing else. They should also send out a recall and replace every defective battery with the AGM when they do the software update. Perhaps a class action lawsuit would nudge them in that direction. I am a Ford retiree and this, to me, is embarrassing and unacceptable. I have the battery issue with 2 Maverick hybrids and my wife's '22 Escape is no better. I had to charge both her year old battery in her Escape and the less than 3 month old replacement battery in Maverick today. Until this issue is fixed I cannot recommend either vehicle to any friends in the market for a new car.

That part number shows it is a regular FLA, not AGM, so hopefully it will hold up until the software fix comes in.

Has anybody done a survey to determine the failure percentage of factory batteries?
I just drove 100+ miles and it went into battery saver mode within minutes. Something is terribly wrong with that. My 2024 XLT has less than 6500 miles on it.

I am on my second battery on my '24 Lariat hybrid and getting the same warnings and having to charge the new battery that is less than 3 months old. This is probably the #1 complaint of Maverick owners. I had the same problems on my '22 Maverick hybrid so you would think they would have come up with a solution by now.

I have a 2023 XLT. I parked it in the garage for 4 months last winter with 700 miles on it. When I got home in the spring, it started right up. Recently it started going into Deep Sleep. I had to jump start it twice. Took it to dealership. They checked battery, etc. Charged battery and sent me home. Told me to drive it more. I drive it almost every day. Two more jump starts since. What kind of car company expects you to charge your new car and jump start it as necessary?
A company that hires executives, engineers, and customer service people based on DEI instead of competence.

Likely near 100% of Maverick hybrids.

Can anybody with a 2024 hybrid build after January 2024 validate that it came with an AGM battery. My dealers device department never heard it. My 2024 was built in December 2023 and for the last month it has been in Battery Saver Mode and I’m tired of driving a truck with no heat and all the extras turned off. Temperature has been in the teens in northern PA and I don’t drive it much, but still!
Why don't you have heat when driving? No, the 2024s never had an AGM in from the factory. Only 2025 model year does. Putting the AGM in 2025 did NOT end the deep sleep issue. Once you Maverick is started and you crank up the heat to 71 or 72 there should be heat coming out. Do you have a Lariat? I don't know anything about the cheaply adorned models. Our Lariat with the Lux option package has seperate climate control settings for the driver and front seat passenger. That works so well, especially if one side faces the sun. Deep sleep won't affect you getting beat. If you're not getting heat once you dial it up. You may have something else going on.

I'm having this same problem now too. Drove it yesterday. Today it's in battery saver mode. The giveaway is that the cabin lights and dash don't light up when I open the door.

For today when it started, opened one door, lights on, closed door. Moved over to the passenger side, opened the door, heard a quiet but audible "pop" through the speakers, and no lights on this time. Dash and center console also stayed dark.

Took it into the dealership a week ago. They "topped off the battery" and said it was fine. It's going back again this week.
Your dealer lied to you. No way they could have said that with a straight face. All dealers are perfectly aware of the deep sleep issue and also know the battery isn't okay.

Of course they do not.

Mfg 3/24.

FLA battery with build date 42nd week 2023.
Made in Spain, the little 390 CA (or CCA, it doesn't state, but 45 Ah is), that many are getting replaced with upgraded one made in Mexico, higher Ah and CA.

Despite it being charged just as bad as everyone else's, and probably helpful I'm in great ATT coverage, but not helpful sitting out in a weeks worth of 0 to 15 F nights - I've not had any Deep Sleep mode yet and could remote start, but the battery saver changes turn power ports and lights off as soon as I open the door. So I'm close to being informed battery saver is on probably, unless that's a Lariat thing to let me know keyless entry might not work.

To the claim everyone has had problems, heh.
Using a battery tester though (I'm not wasting time bringing it in until a problem), I'm getting 100 SOH% with measured 48 Ah, despite terrible 11.94 V and internal resistance 7.72 mO.
SOC% is 0 of course.
Measured using 390 as the CCA - 87% SOH hitting 384 CCA, after 1st test now 11.93 V and 7.8 mO.

You say truck with no heat because of battery saver mode.
Do you actually mean deep sleep mode and no remote start available?

I doubt the dealer lied. Many dealers, especially the smaller ones with just 1 mechanic, are not always up to speed with all the issues with the Maverick.

Actually I do have heat, my goof.
Here's what else i want to know.

Low Power Mode tells me to take a long trip to recharge the battery. What is considered a long trip, apparently 20 miles does not work.

It won't work. It isn't "low power mode". It is reporting that your battery is unable to take a full charge anymore because of chronic undercharging due to the poorly designed charging circuit that ALL Mavericks have. There are people on here, myself included, that have driven 320 miles in one day only to have the vehicle notify that night that it is in deep sleep mode to prevent the battery from going any lower in voltage. This is not anything that additional driving will fix. Ford is claiming they will have a fix before the end of March. If this massive recall, that will happen, is anything like the very limited battery recall, they'll say the parts won't be available until the 3rd quarter of 2025. This problem has been around since the inception of the Maverick so it is inexcusable that this has taken so long. Sales must be taking priority over customer satisfaction and safety.
