Traffic. It used to be in the 70s-2000s they wanted foot traffic and they got us there with banners, balloons, DJs, etc. Now everything is digital. They just want customer names and info...and they get it.
Traffic and wasted time on both ends is all that gets. The dealer I ordered from already had my name, as I bought my 2018 Mustang GT there. And no, I will not buy anything besides what I ordered.

Talked with my dealer today. Added spray in bedliner package to my Ecoboost order. He said my order is their top priority allocation for May. Been checking with Ford and they don't have me scheduled yet. Dealer said they have allocations for May, so I am hopefull to get scheduled soon.

I just logged into my Ford.com account, where I was always able to see my Maverick in 'Ordered' status. But today, it is no longer showing up at all. I'm wondering if this means Ford canceled my order since they know it can never be delivered to my dealer given their allocations? I now know that allocations can be adjusted each month, but I can't figure out any other reason for my order (an EB with no constraints) to just disappear from my account dashboard. Not really sure what to think at this point.

I'll stop by the dealer tonight or tomorrow, and will also call Ford on Monday to get their story.

After a 375 days waiting my dealer has informed me that Ford cannot fill all the orders for 2023 and i will only get my truck if I’m lucky and may have to order a 2024.
Maybe next year Ford can manage to do what Etsy shop owners selling shit out of their garage can do, take orders for the inventory they can produce...

Sounds like your dealer may not have any allocations left.

Just curious as to why you not interested in a hybrid. ?
I dont trust the battery tech as yet for my region. In Indiana, summer is humid enough to drink with the heat and cold at times in winter to give frostbite in under 5 min. My area has so much variance strait gas is the only thing i trust enough. Plus, if battery pack needs replaced, its what, half the cost of the vehicle alone? No thanks!

I am in Canada... I am a little surprised at the lack of information in the process. I walked away from the dealer with a credit card receipt (for the deposit) stapled to a business card. I had to email the salesman for a copy of the Preview Order Form. Today I decided to check the status with the Customer Service Chat. The rep confirmed my order was pending... I am not sure why Ford Canada can't, at the very least, confirm the order was placed, received and confirm the email address.

Quick update: Stopped by the dealer and talked to the sales manager. They looked up the order and it is still in the system as 'Clean-Unscheduled'. Taking this with a giant grain of salt but he was confident it would get scheduled. We shall see, I guess.

Hybrid batteries are roughly $3k if you google other hybrid vehicles like the Escape hybrid. You're thinking of a plugin hybrid or full EV battery replacement. Besides there's a 100k mile warratnty for the hybrid powertrain. If you see a lot of prius hybrids on the side of the road where you are than you would have a valid concern as Ford's system was developed jointly with Toyota have been in use for years now. One thing I have noticed during the last couple of years is that Hybrids really hold their value well and so do pickup trucks. The hybrid Maverick is the perfect marriage of the two concepts and so it should hold its value well as well.

Artificial suppression of orders for Maverick and Bronco is getting old. Ford has been around since 1903, clearly not enough time to figure out how to build in demand products. If RAM can build trx, jeep builds 4xe wranglers and 392 wranglers. Which are in massive demand, then Ford can build these too.

I also noticed my order had vanished from the account order status. I called Ford CS today and was told they removed all orders without VINs and my order would show up again when/if I got a VIN.
