Just wondering if anyone actually know how many orders Ford has left to fill before they start taking new orders?

That is a perfectly reasonable question.

I don't think Ford cares if they fill orders or not, since the Maverick is a very low margin vehicle. Ford would rather sell you an F150 for $75,000+. They are supposed to open the MY 2024 Maverick order book in July. Maybe.

Personally, I think Ford is just trying to keep us from buying another brand of vehicle while they string us along.

I also think the 2024 Mavericks will be much more expensive.

Its my understanding that Ford will not be taking any new orders for model year 23 Mavericks. They already took many more orders than they can fill so a whole lot of people that placed an ordered last September (and before for MY 22) will not have their truck built.

In late 2022, with the orders so skewed towards hybrid (65% hybrid, 35% EB), but production planning skewed toward ecoboost (65% EB / 35% hybrid), I predicted allot of hybrid orders would get dropped and in the spring of 2023, order banks would reopen for EB to fill out production.

I was wrong. instead, Ford has found a way to recently increase hybrid production so that the split is 50%/50%. they also encouraged some hybrid folks to switch over to EB to even things out even more. So now, we might end up with incomplete MY2023 production for both EB and hybrids. However, the vehicles that are filled may better represent the actual order mix.

So, I'm eating crow... as I thought all EBs could be built (favoring me) and hybrids would just get bounced. Not so, and now I'm having to wait for MY2024 order banks to get an EB. Good thing I didn't make any bets.

Yes.......order banks for 23 ended after one week. Just wondering how many were left to be built before the 24 orders start up.
