Interesting I got mine refunded no issue.

Yes I do think Tesla is going to do it because they have figured out how to make vehicles profitably.

They will use older technology, limit features, range, etc but it will still feel like a Tesla and for under $30k people will gobble it up.

A $45k Maverick feels like a $17,500 Kia Rio. A $30k EV pick up might fall apart going down the road!
that's why I put a deposit on the "cyberjunk" I figured my deposit was safe, and they didn't even produce the model I wanted. guess Elon needed that money to burn up in a "rocket",they had better get away from the "fireworks" and figure how the UAPs fly( yes I have seen them) everytime I get reminded of the STS farce I get sick!

I want to point out for everyone not aware that the "unicasting" process that they are touting is basically mirroring Tesla's manufacturing process.

That being said, I've been critical/skeptical so far - I will still place my order when it does hit. My Maverick is paid for and the combo of the Mav plus Ranchero looks pretty good to me!

I do love how now in the comments the Maverick is the "real" truck and the new EV is the fake truck.

Just out of interest, why is this announcement being posted in the Maverick forum? The new electric truck is a mid-size, or competing with the Ranger and not the Maverick. And since its a mid-size truck, it won't fit in a standard garage and is more difficult to park at Costco or Walmart than a Maverick.

I wonder the same thing about this truck and the Slate(ie Fisher Price), this is a Maverick forum🤔
Maybe the owner of this server is paid to promote them?🤷🏻‍♂️

Or, just spit balling here, maybe as Maverick owners it's interesting to talk about the competition and future products

Ok, so way not post from them on Bronco, Bronco Sport, Ranger and all the other small/midsize every now and then ? They’re close for competition/minor upgrades etc.
It seems like a “push” for certain things

Those forums exist and are run by the same outfit as this one - and duh, these stories and more are posted there. If there's a push for anything, it's for our membership across more of those related sites.

So someone on the Maverick forum is supposed to sign up for other forums to post about the new truck? Maybe people in those forums are also talking about it. Nobody is pushing anything. Some Maverick owners would consider making the switch to the EV, so it's of interest.

It is posted in the "Maverick vs the competition" subforum. Any vehicle that is not a Maverick is theoretically fair game, and certainly any vehicle that is not a Maverick that has a pickup bed is fair game.

No, its a MIDSIZE, and not competition, the same way a Ranger or an F150 are not competition.

I don't think you will feel the same when it is released. It is much smaller than a Ranger. It may be a few inches longer than the Maverick, but it is overall, smaller in volume. Lower hood, lower roof, similar interior and bed size.
