there probably aren't a lot of people who objectively prefer the MY25 front end compared to MY22-24.

however, look at it compared to other trucks, specifically the Ranger and the Santa Cruz. SC is less weird, but still looks like a damn UFO. Ranger is very conservative, and kind of boring. The Ranger Raptor grille is kind of neat, but the other trims are not exciting.

so, relative to what other trucks you could conceivably buy instead - the MY25 Maverick isn't bad looking. there's never been anything that competes with the hybrid Maverick and that gap is wider now that it has awd and 4k towing available.
I don't particularly like the new front end. But I don't dislike it enough for it to bother me either. Like I tell people, you can't see it from the driver's seat, so who cares? Besides, I'm sure there will be aftermarket treatments for it. The aftermarket would be pretty foolish to ignore the potential market, and people love to customize and personalize their trucks. Even unibody "fake" pickup trucks.

I am thinking of a black wrap to make the horns a little less pronounced, or to break it up a little. Have it match the gloss black mirrors.

It won’t cost much and if I don’t like it I can just take it off

My reason for not buying a Ranger is I like the Maverick better, mainly because of the size and mpg. My garage will not hold a Ranger. It will hold a Maverick. I just don't know if when new homes are built, the garage is the size of mine, (400) sq ft. or bigger to hold up to a F-150. Home sales ads don't list how big a garage is.
Yeah size, handling, turning radius are some other reasons they may prefer the Maverick. Not just fitting in the garage but parking slots. Had a F150 and I'm big, not enough room left to open the door far enough to allow you to exit.

Turning radius helps in parking and off road situations. Family had property that they described one hill as hairpin turn you couldn't make it around without scissoring with a full size truck. My dads truck slipped and took out rear quarter panel on his box. Tight between trees as well and leaves didn't help nor the steep incline.

Yep the Maverick has a lot going for it besides just ride it handled very well on or off road with the AWD

No surprise there. Many people don't need behemoth sized trucks. Heck, today's Maverick is basically the size of a 2011 Ford Ranger and both of those aren't much smaller than my coworker's 2003 F150! Lol
Yup, trucks have grown ridiculously. I'm 6'2" and need a step ladder to check the oil in my coworkers truck , assuming I wanted to ..

Maybe it's just because I own one, and notice them more, but it feels like the maverick is the biggest hit on the new car market. You almost never see a new civic or Corolla driving around, but you see mavericks all the time.

I was down at one of my pool supply companies, one I frequent most of the time. The lady that manages the store asked about my Maverick. I took her out and gave her the tour of it and she feel in love. A week later I went back and she gave me the grand tour of the used one she bought for around 28k. It was an orange color XLT Ecoboost that had a lift kit on it with 19 inch Fallen At tires on it. Beautiful Maverick and she also is in love with it. Good to know I did my part to help her make the decision to buy one

I thought that when it first came out but it grew on me and I really like the new more aggressive front end now!
I’m still not liking it, but probably because I’m too accustomed to the original design.

Always a good feeling when you can share a great experience with another person.

Saw my first 2025 front end in the wild in the Pennsylvania turnpike. Looked better than I thought it would but it was close to dusk and I was driving 80mph do didn't get a great look ....

I've had the same experience at nightclubs.

You can call me a flip flopper as I vocally panned the front end as ugly as ass but it’s growing me on.

It was still poorly done but I CAN see where it is graduating closer to the explorer design at least with the headlights.

I guess for me it’s the lariat headlight that saves it from being total ass.
Understood. Change can be difficult to accept especially when one feels they got it right the first time.
