I'm very curious how you have come to this conclusion
Yeah I don't get the comment either, the guy parked his Maverick straight and centered in the stall. Not sure what else he could have done.
look at the 3rd and 5th pic. He’s just as angled into the Parking spot as the other guy

I'm still confused here. Maybe you don't have your Maverick yet, but the Maverick is a truck. I'm looking at a red Maverick pretty straight between the lines. Hell if anything, it is a little far to the left while getting hit from the right by someone who has crossed about five to six inches past the white line into our Maverick friend.

I mean if you put a square down, sure the Maverick isn't perfectly aligned with the paint, but to say he's parked as badly as the car that hit is truck is a bit much.

To the OP, that is why when I go somewhere I park so far away I need to take the bus to get to the store or restaurant. LOL.

Just the other day I parked way on the far corner of a shopping center. I parked about 10 spaces away from a real nice Mustang Coyote. I see the owner of the Mustang coming back to his rig. He says "You too huh?" I said yeah, being a gearhead is a disease that has no cure only periodic fixes. :) :D People who drive by feel scare the shit out of me.

So we went out for breakfast this AM and a few minutes after we parked this old guy (FL driver, probably close to 90) backs into the spot next to mine. Well, tried to. Argh. I flagged down some police officers that were also coming in for breakfast and they helped find the driver in the restuarant and we all went outside to have a look. At first the guy tried to suggest that he was parked there first but no one was buying that. Sadly I think he was just confused and embarrassed. His daughter was with him and we exchanged insurance info but thankfully there was no need -- the Mav took it like a champ and there was no damage, not even a scratch or scuff. Really mixed feelings about all this. At first I was pissed, but I know it was an accident and in the end no harm done. We'll all be old someday; I guess we need to keep perspective on things.

Maybe you needed to pick a color that can be seen! :) Try cyber Orange perhaps?

Many people do it because it's generally safer when exiting the parking spot than backing out into possible traffic. Not everyone has rear cross traffic alert after all. Nothing macho about it.
As the OP shows it is not safer if the one doing the backing in are idiots/bad drivers.

A lot of the examples of backed in parking I see in parking lots are not safe at all like when they pull out they are going the wrong way against traffic.

Another example: A big truck backs into parking spot and their big ass rear end covers the side walk behind them.

Look at OP's third picture with the COPs in the background.

Maverick was diagonally parked in a straight in spot. If the Maverick was parked correctly straight in this accident would not have happened.

Ah, so you're a troll. Got it.
I would get your eyes checked if you really believe that the Red Maverick is parked straight in because it is not.

Maverick looks to be in the lines even though not straight. The SUV looks like it crossed over into the Mavericks spot. So SUV is at fault for crossing into the Mavericks spot.
