Never needed to change it to begin with.
Oh, you’re still here? My bad, I had hoped you’d gone to squat in a cactus patch. My mistake.

But really, why are you so invested in my oil changing habits? Don’t want yours changed until whatever number the monitor says, then fine, don’t change it until then. I’ll change mine after 200 miles if I want to. My truck, my choice, and MY money.

As I wrote earlier, you don’t have to comment on anything on this site, it’s not a requirement. Also, disagree, that’s fine and to be expected, but keep it civil.

Wood can hold a metric f-ton of weight. I trust my ramps a hell of a lot more than the plastic ones. I've seen photos of the store bought ones, both metal and plastic, crunched underneath vehicles. I will say that mine are heavy and don't nest well. I might invest in some Race Ramps - plastic ramps that you can remove the ramp from and throw some jack stands under - at some point, but $150 buys a lot of lumber; even in this market.

A 4x4 laid length wise is regularly used to hold a tractor trailer inner tire in the air when just changing the outside tire without having to unmount the rim from the hub. That's about 8500lb on one 4x4.

As for the rest of this post, many people like to change the oil on a new vehicle early to check for issues before a full oil change cycle happens. It used to be incredibly common to change after just a few hundred miles.

Even small 2 cycle engines still state an oil change is needed after just a few hours of operation to help with any particulate that comes loose after its in operation.

As for the guy talking about oil not going bad, there's two things....

Synthetic oil is carbon chains at all the same consistency. Non synthetic is inconsistent in size and causes sludge earlier.

However, piston rings are not impenetrable. In fact the engine is designed to handle blow by and blow by will get into the oil even if minutely. It will add up. That is what will eventually require oil to be replaced and what is mostly caught by the filter. But there's contaminate that is too small for the filter that builds up mostly on the top end. The valves and lifters especially. Causes scarring on the bearings and eventually cause loss of oil pressure and failure.

No matter how good an engine is, blow by is an impossible to eliminate byproduct of combustion. You'd blow head gaskets if excess pressure had no where to go.

Legit observation. Obviously, lack of oil could be interesting, but do synthetic oils deteriorate at all? I follow the manufacturer's guidance when it comes to oil and tire rotations, but is changing synthetic oil important? I don't know.
I have been tearing down engines for over fifty years and have seen filters and sludge in engines that totally destroyed them. You obviously are lacking knowledge in this area. To enlighten you, google engine videos without oil changes. Hundreds of videos out there so change your oil, or some mechanic will post a video of your engine someday.

Sorry NewBernWolf, you got in the middle. Change your Synthetic oil. The oil lasts longer before breaking down, but the engine still contaminates the oil the same as any other oil.

I'm not doubting you, I'm just curious. Why are the homemade ramps better than the store-bought ones?
I wouldn’t dare think about a plastic set of ramps🧐the wood maybe heavy but are solid and arnt going to collapse.

Yet, there's no evidence that happens.

Every 10k miles. Just like if you drive on highways. Still every 10k. Any smaller number is a taxable donation to whoever owns the brand of oil you purchased.
I change every 6 months if it needs or not

I always took heat for my 3k changes. Never had a vehicle that took synthetic so it was usually under 20$

Is your oil dirty when you change it if so then you had dirty oil circulating tru your engine
When I Change mine it’s clean so I know no issues and its not building sludge and plugging passages up
Both types of oil break down
Tried every 8 months noticed a color
change and dark
Plus with synthetic oil it seems to attract moisture when sitting not running
I use it in a whole house gen and when it had not run in a while it looks creamy found out it’s moisture from not running and warming up

And why do you care about other people wasting their money and time?

Just. Mind. Ya. Business
Yet you feel the need to preach your beliefs as if it is the "Only Truth". Hint it is not.

I follow the Ford Guidelines in the Maverick user manual to change the oil when the Oil Life monitor says to do so or in one year whichever happens first.

At least my belief is in writing from the manufacturer.

So are you and ol' MTB316 sipping from the same Kool-Aid? I never "preached" anything. If you actually read my post you would have seen that I said "Put right over 3k on my Maverick since picking her up in mid January, and, with the smaller factory filter thought I'd go ahead and change it a little early" , where did I preach in that statement? I said this is what I'm doing, not that I'm right for doing it, or that anyone else should do it; I also never advocated, proselytized, or argued for anyone to change their oil until they're ready.

Look, do what you want. You're (presumably) an adult and can make your own decisions. Change it early, change it after XXXX miles, don't change it for all I care. Again, I stated what I did, and not what someone else should do.

IF they are on this forum, they are laughing at the retards changing it way too soon.
Damn, your significant other really got a winner with you. Why are you so fixated on writing, and I'm sure saying, retarded/retard(s)? Are you feeling a little shame in your IQ game?

If calling us retards makes him feel better about himself, then I'm glad I could help him.
