All my communication with them was over the phone and email. I called this morning and they told me my rep was with a customer so I just forwarded him the confirmation email my buddy got and said I never received one and I got my email shortly after. I bet they were going to bulk enter them or something because it took me asking a couple times to get it sorted out.
Congrats on forcing your salesman into action!
I am not to sure about the bulk order idea. When I ordered over the phone, my salesman asked me all the questions in a logical order. I think I heard him typing.
It would be much quicker and easier to simply type the responses once, into the Ford order form and hit enter. Anything else wastes a lot of time and effort.
I'd like to know why some dealers have to be badgered before they will submit an order on time?

Received the email within a few hours of submitting my build to my dealer (see signature) on Friday September 15th.

My order was supposedly entered on 09/16/2022 however I have nothing from Ford, Ford chat has nothing for a 2023 order for me only my old 2022 order information.

So I fired this off to the general sales managers at my dealership this morning.

Good morning gentlemen,

I am writing to you as a concerned customer, I purchased a 2019 Edge ST at your dealership, and also placed an order for a 2022 Maverick. However, that order was not able to be filled by Ford. I have since placed an order with my salesman for a 2023 Maverick in the exact same build configuration. I am attaching a copy of the document I was sent on Friday 09/16/22. There is nothing wrong with the order. options or pricing.

The issue I am having is there has been no confirmation from Ford, upon chatting with Ford directly they do not show an order placed under my name other than my 2022 Maverick order. Now I have many friends within the state of Florida and others around the US who have all put in orders on the same date and they have their confirmation from Ford. As I am not intimately knowledgeable on Mullinax's process for putting in these orders I cannot determine where the issue is.

As I understand it, my salesman only takes my order with options and etc and returns me the document I have attached to this email. So I can only conclude this is either a Mullinax issue or an issue that has arised after my order was given to my salesman and he did what he is responsible for internally.

As a 2022 pre-order customer whose truck was not able to be built I would think that any Mullinax customer like myself would be a priority to ensure their order is entered and confirmed with prejudice. I have always had a great experience with the Mullinax dealership and staff and I expect that to continue with this next new vehicle purchase.

In conclusion, what I am looking for from you is either some insight on what is going on with my order, or some concrete confirmation my priority 10 order has been entered into the Ford system.

Within 15 minutes my salesman was texting and calling me asking for the signed preview order document again. So maybe I got someone's attention?

I guess Ill find out soon.

I reached out to Ford over the phone because I'm paranoid and wanted to be absolutely sure my order was entered correctly and received.

After confirming my order they told me I still needed to contact my dealer and ask for ROVP. I called and left a message for the Sales Manager explaining the situation. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but last night around 9pm the confirmation came through form Ford! The sales guy who originally helped me was being an ass over text and assuring me everything was fine. Just happy to know it's in and I don't have to worry anymore.

I ordered "first time" 10/21 signed order at dealer and got a copy, got home had an email conformation from Ford within 2 hours. but of course I did not get my Maverick as of last week Ford said it was still in the system, but no VIN # so I need to reorder with my private offer # which he gave me- 9/15 I gave # to my dealer and he sent in for a 2023 XLT Hybrid area 51 and one opt. trailer hitch same order as 2022, that was 9/15 afternoon- next morning I have a email from Ford Conformation on the 2023 was posted at 10pm, on 9/15 so now the wait goes on, and on and on

A random thought. I have a Ford account because of the Escape. It uses the same email address as the pending order. However, while looking up the recall information on the Escape this morning, I saw I had told Ford to not email me because I don't like junk mail. I wonder if Ford actually honored that request.

That would explain why my dealership was absolutely baffled why I hadn't gotten an email since I am 100% complete on the order. But that would assume the ordering system and CSR system are connected enough for Ford to find the email address and then see the "Allow Email" indicator set to "No" and then not send it.

Why do people act surprised when others (like myself) post we got a confirmation email, then when we explain to them they need to contact their dealer and tell them what the dealer didn't do. People, if you did NOT get an email after you ordered MY22 or 23 Maverick, the delaership did NOT use your email in the ordering system, contact your dealer and have them take a screen shot to prove to you they did use your email.
I have that but never got 1 email from my MY22 order and nothing so far on my MY23 order. I even have confirmed my email address with Ford customer care and still no emails.

I ordered around lunchtime at my local dealer in person. Verified by phone to Ford Marketing later in the day. Email came shortly after midnight.

4 days and no email. Ford customer service told me it would be up to 7 days... Get used to waiting, I suppose... But, if the dealer screwed up, in 6 hours, it'll be too late to get it fixed because the order bank will be closed... Hmm...:unsure:

UPDATE!: Nope... still no email. But, I used Ford chat and they said I was "Unscheduled clean" She said she couldn't see my email address there but to check with my dealer. Since my dealer sent me an email with the order sheet, I assume they know my email address and didn't screw up entering it in for Ford.

I guess I was lucky choosing my sales guy. He sat down with me at the sales manager's computer, and we entered exactly what I wanted on my order. It took a couple of tries to submit it to Ford (kept saying "Something happened, try again later") but he stuck to it and got it in. Then we took a copy of my DL, and a refundable deposit ($500), and had me sign the order summary and provided me a copy of both the signed retail order (which has the Sales and Order Codes on it) and a printout of the Customer Order Verification showing the tracking number. I got the confirmation email from Ford before I left the parking lot.

We did all this on 9/16, because although he stayed until nearly midnight, the ordering system was never up and running long enough for them to submit any orders on 9/15. He called me in on 9/16 so we could get everything done in one shot.

This morning, I called the Ford CS number, and received confirmation that my order is in "Unscheduled - Clean" status.

Now to see if my dealer got enough Mavericks allocated to fulfill the orders they received... Feel like I'm playing the Texas Lotto here... LOL

I also think some of us are victims of dealer efficiency. It might be easier for them to just check the "no email" button than to bother ensuring it is being typed in correctly. Especially when they are doing 112 orders in one sitting. My printed order didn't actually have my email on it.

I think this may be my issue. I have a scanned copy of my order preview. I used the Ford website chat with the order number and sales code and was confirmed that my order status is "In Order Processing". On the order preview the bottom area with customer name, address, phone number, and email is all blank. (My name is correct on the top of the order preview, and my dealer is calling the order preview the DORA.)

I checked on Ford chat and confirmed order was in process on 9/17.

Go to ford.com click support upper right, choose contact Ford, click start chat. Fill in name/zip and ignore VIN field. For reason just select warranty issue. Give them order code and sales code they can see if your order is in.
