It happened to me as well luckily, I had FordPass on my phone and on my watch and I was able to unlock the doors with those also upon further review, the driver side door locked, but the back door was still unlocked. Check that with your truck.

But I do suggest putting FordPass on your phone and onto your smart watch so you can unlock it that way. Also great way to start your truck from in your house when it’s cold outside or very hot outside.

Purposely designed for those who wish to leave vehicle running during any weather or reason while they will be too far or even out of sight. Also remote start will not happen if truck cannot be locked.

How loud does anyone find the ding warning that you've opened the door with key in or fob inside?

Too bad there can't be a 2nd level louder sound for when that lever is pressed, just as a different warning about a different state - perhaps catch attention better?

Hummmmmm? Perhaps forscan could have manual lock activate the Panic Alarm?

I'm going to assume you have a cell phone Please make a *honest of it happening and post it to clear up any confusion thank you very much.
I find it very frustrating, that not one person who has had this situation happen to them. Will fight tooth and nail that it's not operator error.
BUT
Has been unwilling or unable to *honestly replicate the situation on video.
*showing the 2nd/ extra key fob is not involved.

I've had it happen to me three times and each time there was no way in hell it was operator error. I have to leave a window open when I leave the truck running and dropping stuff off and don't want to turn engine off.

But you don’t need the keypad. Just walk around to the passenger side and open the door and unlock it with the “unlock” button.

Trust the forum….it was 100% user error. You hit the black manual locking lever when pushing the door out to exit. Next time that you “swear you didn’t do it”……check the back driver‘s side door. It will be unlocked… along with both doors on the passenger side.

I don’t touch any of those buttons.
Key Fob opens door.

I have a '23 Maverick Hybrid XL and had the same door lock with key in ignition and door locks. What everyone in these comments are missing is the door should never lock even if you accidently bump the lock above the door handle. I also have a 2009 Toyota Corolla and if the key is in the ignition (running or not doesn't matter) the door will automatically unlock even if you try to lock the door. I'm waiting for a fix in Forscan so I can correct this problem.

Someone should do a survey on Maverick owners’ hand sizes. I feel like we must have an above-average proportion of people with just absolutely GIANT mitts slamming into these interior door handles.

…Extra credit for capturing the ratio of owners wearing pants so tight they can’t even sit down without the panic alarm button on their keyfob getting pushed.

I can lock my 2005 Rav4 with keys in ign, running or not.

But not by pressing the lock all button. The Maverick does the same thing as it, unlock all.
Same process.

But I can turn the manual lock, but if done wrong I now have to get back in, close door, lock all, open door, manually push that single door's lock.
And I can close it. Dinging the whole time it's open.
And my son better open it now while he's sitting inside, so I don't have to dig out my wallet key.

I think many more would argue the case for having the ability is better - just not so accidentally.

The frustration is from seeing new threads where OP doesn't even bother to do a simple thread title Search, which will turn up multiple threads about this dead horse.

I agree, however on occasion I find the search engine on here does not always work, or works poorly. Sometimes I get better results just using Google or Duck Duck go. Many times I will then get a link right back to MTC! Crazy.

If I open the truck start the truck and close the door. The door locks even if truck is running. My opinion it should never lock with truck running and key inside truck.

We sure would appreciate a video of this happening to you.
We haven't had anybody be able to honestly record the door automatically locking on them.
Now if you make a video. While the door is open. You have to show the manual lock by the door handle is still unlocked when you close the door.

Have you been able to possibly, make another video? Panning little slower. Showing the manual lock is unlocked on your door when you close it.
