DIY - Maverick LED tail lights upgrade. Before and After Video

Yes, they are available in red, but, fyi, each of the 3 bulbs in my Maverick XL taillamp housing were clear.

I installed these in the BRAKE and in the TURN SIGNAL sockets, just to see if they work, before I installed them in BACKUP lamp sockets (2022 Mav XL). They fit easily and did NOT throw any codes.

No hyper flashing?

not sure what you mean? Are you implying the bulbs are white? And the red color is just from the red housing?

Hey thank you so much for the video can't believe 25 bucks got a set of Lights that you can actually see when you're backing up I live in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee definitely go to order a set of those backup lights I'm sure they'll get here before my hybrid LOL again thanks for the video

these are the LEDs that fit WT21/7W spec on the F150. Believe they’re the same as Maverick.

Also depends on if the taillight is led or not. A lot of the brake lights now are led while the reverse light stayed halogen

Interesting. I wonder if the clear makes them brighter? Would the red LEDs not be as bright?

It’s been confirmed as halogen

If I had to guess you’ll need resistors. They may not throw a code, but they will probably have hyperblink

They’ll be just as bright most likely, but if you put a high powered white led bulb in there it will probably look more pink than red

Turns MAY need a resistor but I don't believe brakes would. There is no hyper flash with brakes unless you're pumping the brakes.

Holy cow haha I said brakes and turns because it’s most likely the same socket. Of course brakes wouldn’t need it
