Remember when used car listings specified “R&H”?
Do you remember yourself or parent pulling out the CHOKE knob on the dash? A neighbor was going to use our family station wagon while on a vacation. She pushed the starter button(Yes.) with no good result. Tried again. I was in the front seat, and mentioned that Dad always pulled out 'that knob' when he went to start the engine. She did., and it did. I had no idea what it was at the time except it raised the idle speed... Around 70 years ago. Time travel is easy these days, try it out!

I ditched the temperature sensitive chokes on carbs and always installed my own manual choke.

I was getting those warnings all the time but when I had it in for servicing I asked that they check the battery to see why I am getting these warnings. They determined the battery was defective and replaced it. It has been 6 weeks and I have not any warnings since the new battery was installed.
I had the issue as well. Dealer changed the battery and same issue started up again 8 month's later. Hope you have better luck.

This is happening to me too.
I am not getting any messaging that I'm aware of at this point but similar behavior: There are no overhead lights upon opening the door, however they come on when shutting down. The lights on the dash board do not come on either until button is pushed. The other thing that is not working is the peripheral lock on the passenger door. The truck is going to service next week. Still very pleased with overall performance.

Did the manual choke have a knob that you pulled out... as mentioned...??
Wow, now I’m feeling old! I’ve had a lot of vehicles in my younger days just learning to drive and that was one thing you always learnt, pull the choke out first to start cold!

Wow, now I’m feeling old! I’ve had a lot of vehicles in my younger days just learning to drive and that was one thing you always learnt, pull the choke out first to start cold!
Even with the choke pulled, many times had to do "the dance" (PUMP IT LIKE HELL A DOZEN TIMES)on the "foot feed" (ACCELERATOR) Also on occasion called the go fast pedal! There were some cars that had a throttle that looked similar to the choke. Allowed you to set the speed higher so engine would not stall, and go back inside so you could pour that extra cup of java!

Might throw an extra battery back there. It will only be connected when the engine is on to charge.

Replace the Relay with a push button bypass version. If the main 12v is dead, pop the hood and push the relay a few seconds. Spare battery will jolt the system enough to start.

Latching Relays are integrated into the Battery Juncton Box:

Dealership techs worked on my truck for 2 days, consulting with Ford's engineers. They say it is fixed now. A new and different type of battery was put in to replace the battery which came into the shop supplying only 11.2 volts. Service advisor provided me a "Battery load shed" priority chart. Very techy stuff. However, my suggestion is that there should be some kind of easily accessible monitoring meter for this voltage (Old School Stuff).
