Excellent discussion:clap:
I believe driving with the aid of EV coach has enabled me to get 30-50% electric miles on my trips of 40-55mph on the rolling 2 lanes around here. Using Cruise Control would not give the same results.
Your description of the relationship between Power and Torque is...
I am currently in a long conversation with Maxzina regarding in-channel visors which they offer for Mav.
Many years ago, I installed front in-channel visors in a 04 Focus. These visors were absolutely fantastic. They required no tape or metal clips. They (were sold by Weather Tech) manufactured...
I was concerned
I was concerned about this as well when we went into the first winter with this vehicle. I thought at this point defrosters were mandated. (but perhaps not on trucks). However, my actual experience is that this has not been a problem. Hyper-ventilating dogs of course can create...
this is one of the best Forum questions that have come up. It has generated a lot of interesting ideas. Here is one, perhaps. Having owned many vehicles over these 50 plus years (and perhaps 3/4 of them Fords of one type or another). I remember, as some of you old timers might, as well that...
I feel much the same way about my 23 Lariat Hybrid which I waited nearly a year for. I am not putting the mileage that you have been doing. Yes definitely in terms of the overall capabilities which you mention, I don't think that any vehicle is similar. I had a 2004 Focus GTS for many years...
The Maverick is the first vehicle that I've had for quite some time that proports to have a full size spare (however it is not actually the case for the Lariat model). So back in the day, there were routines to incorporate 5 wheels into the rotation and so theoretically expanding the mileage on...
I wonder why some of the manufacturers have always called these windows "Moon Roof". On previous vehicles I have left them cracked open all the time except in heavy rain as an aid to ventilation. In this new Mav, with the remote opening rear window, I find the roof window unnecessary for that...
I think you mean the Door Pillars or "A" pillars. I have had problems with various models over the years. If water gets trapped someplace in those draining tubes, it will find its way to the to the cars floor near the fire wall. In some you will have water under the carpet insulation, which...
Yes, I call it trying to catch the BLUE WAVE!. I have never done any surfing but trying to use this analogy. However, obviously, if you have EV Coach and the Power Flow Screen in front of you, that is too much opportunity for Distraction from a safety stand point
Perhaps the information you are looking for is on the "Power Flow " screen. It will report a condition, though fleeting, "Engine on due to Normal Operation". This would be exclusive of Engine on driving the wheels or providing heat to the cabin or charging the Hybrid Battery.
When my 12 volt was replaced under warranty (one year old, less than 10k miles), my experience with the dealer did not give me the impression that they were "up to speed" on the issues relating to the 12 volt system in the Mav. My car was in the shop for 2 or 3 days while they tried to sort out...
I have slipped it into SPORT mode when descending steep tricky and narrow 2 lane roads at speeds of 50 mph or more, this seems to provide more control. Coasting, regen or MPG considerations should be secondary in these situations.
This cover is something I would be interested in for my Mav, however I cannot tell from these photographs whether or not this product will fit the Hybrid models which have only one row of 3 buttons...please let us know.
