How many miles since the replacement axles went on ??So I had CV axle failure right before lowering my Maverick on Coilovers, so the two aren’t related! So far haven’t had any issues since lowering and replacing the axles!

It’s been about 4k miles since replacing them and haven’t had any issues since then! The angles they’re at while the vehicle is lowered are similar to the stock layout so I’ll report back if there are any issues in the future! How many miles since the replacement axles went on ??
That's a nice lift you got there.Well, it finally happened! At about 33k miles my 2023 Maverick XL EcoBoost FWD started developing a vibration when accelerating from 50-60mph and sometimes at lower speeds from 20-30mph. I've been watching the Maverick forums and all the different social media groups talk about CV Axle failure, didn't think it would happen to me but here we are! Mind you, my Maverick was bone stock, no lift or lowering kit was installed at the time of failure. I decided to replace them myself, as I'm an automotive technician and truthfully, don't trust the Ford Dealerships in my area to do the work whatsoever. I understand I'm still within the warranty period to cover this repair, but after careful research I was able to get both front OEM CV Axles from Tasca Parts for >$300 total. It was worth the peace of mind to just do them myself instead of having a dealer technician do the repairs, as since I'm a flat rate technician myself, I know some techs out there cut corners and would do anything to beat the warranty time, including messing up someone's vehicle. I've done the maintenance on this truck since day one, and hopefully I don't have to replace the axles again anytime soon, but this truly is unacceptable Ford. I haven't had any major issues with my Maverick outside of random rattles and glitchy infotainment. Maybe Ford will issue a recall or technical service bulletin at some point, and if the Tremor Axles are a direct swap like some people are currently investigating, then that might be the move going forward. At any rate, this is just my observations and experiences on the subject at hand, so if you start getting vibrations and rumbling when accelerating, chances are these cheaply made CV Axles are starting to fail.![]()

yeah, I’m kind of following this myself, however, I’m waiting to see what the ultimate CV axle would beWhat would a reputable mechanic fee be to replace them before they start to go? Would you recommend swapping before the 30k marker?

I have a 2023 AWD Eco. Are the CV axles suspect on those also ? I have 25K miles on the buggy and am wondering if I should expect failures on them too.Well, it finally happened! It is likely that you will have CV Axle failure at some point, some people don't seem to have any issues whatsoever which is questionable but its definitely likely that Ford will issue a recall at some point for these, as they are doing for the 2022 Model Years already!I have a 2023 AWD Eco.
