I would not put any importance on CR reviews. They have been hawking Toyotas for 20 years and bashing anything else, and they certainly are not as good as they claim. Right now they have more recalls/vehicle than the Mav has, and CR have not said anything about that little problem. Take a look at which vehicles are still going down the road at 500k and the "CR-recommended" vehicles are just about all missing from that list.

Have you ever owned a Toyota? I have a 19 year old Tundra with 240k miles on it and the only thing, besides regular maintenance, I’ve had to do was change the timing belt.

Yes, 3 of them. Congratulations on your Tundra actually surviving that long and not killing you. The new ones have an even larger software recall list than the Maverick, leak oil from day one from both the engine and the steering gear, the defective airbag inflators that Ford recalled 10 years ago, have an improperly-machined crank causing the engine to hand-grenade, a trailer wiring harness that doesn't work correctly, tires that blow out sidewalls, a tranny that cannot be safely put into neutral, a fuel line that wears through, a tonneau that flies off on the highway, a dashboard that goes blank, antilock brakes and stability control system that unexpectedly fail, a fuel pump that is built incorrectly, axles that can fall out while driving (!!), and even a spare tire mount that comes apart and drops the spare on the highway. Just about every label on the vehicle is incorrect, stating things like higher load ratings than the vehicle is built to handle. There are dozens of other recalls for 5-year-old Tundras, but you can do your own research to find those.
And you think Fords need work, and Toyotas are somehow better. Ok, dream on.

I remember the guy who got the new Tundra, and he lost his entire rear axle. That was insane.

Don't let feelings be your guide. So you owned Toyotas and have problems. We don't know that you properly maintained them. There's not a single study not funded by FORD that ranks their vehicles higher than Japanese made vehicles. Here's one by JD Powers. The data is pulled from actual numbers of complaints, just like CR.

it would be nice if someone who get a 2025 hybrid and knows something about cv joints tell us if the new maverick come from factory with the new style or not.

Wow did not know about that. I know two people with brand new ones. Maybe that is why the older models seem to be going for even more $$$ nowadays.

I have a friend who has a cousin that works at the factory in Mexico. He didn't guarantee an answer but he will look into getting a part number of the 2025 hybrid axles.

Does anyone yet know it the 2025 maverick comes with improved CV joints?
My 2025 is under construction and I do not know what to expect.

Will the 2025 axles be backwards compatible with older mavericks is now the question.

I suppose somebody could shed some light on whether it happens more on hybrids than ecoboosts. Maybe a poll that asks people to respond ONLY if they've had CV issues, do they have a hybrid, an ecoboost FWD, or an ecoboost AWD.

It wouldn't be scientific, because it's a self-selecting sample. But it maybe points in the right direction?

A search should reveal a previous poll asking the exact questions you mentioned.

I had my drivers side CV replaced this week. My 2023 has 20,000 miles with no mods. The truck was at the dealership for 2 days, no wait on parts, so I assume its the same axle they took out of the truck.

Sure, every brand has issues. However some have more than others.

And some people have bad luck with certain brands. My bad luck brands have been GM and Kia. I won't buy either one again. I suggest you don't buy a Ford again, although I think you've already made that point.
