Hard to get a good dipstick reading these days. On my Honda I can put in the exact amount and the dipstick still reads low. On my Kia the dipstick was difficult to read as it was the same color as the oil. I disliked the Kia oil pan as it drained from the front and on ramps it would not drain completely. You still need to account for the filter oil unless it drains from above like a BMW. Level ground is needed for a good reading but few driveways are level. Mine is flat and looks level but several spots according to my bubble level aren't.The 5.7 is a bit of a misnomer.
It seems not all of it comes out.
Thus you'll need to add 5 to 5.5 something like that.
On the dipstick there is one whole quart of "wiggle room" in the acceptable depth of oil.
First 2 were free at the dealer.
(and they over-filled)
Third I will do myself.
A 5 quart bottle is probably enough.
I'll let you know next summer.
There's a quart of space between the holes.
