Can the new 2025 Hybrid AWD be flat towed?

Yes . on a full car trailer . No on flat towing awd vehicle . No on awd vehicle on tow Dolly .

Grrrrr. This needs to be resolved. I sent emails a few weeks ago to Various Ford Executives Including Dawn Mckenzie and Ford Authority for clarification on the AWD 2025 HEV being approved for flat 4 down towing behind a recreational vehicle. Upper management says their team says NO but others says YES. 2025 with drive train changes is causing the gray area of needed information. I have a Lariat on order (And the 2025 Lariat is only available in AWD) and I'm guessing at this point of lack of concrete information will have to cancel. My only need is to tow behind my RV flat 4 all whhels on the ground

Contact your Sales rep at the dealership and tell them about the issue and until a concrete answer in writing to this issue is available you will have to put delivery / signing any paper work / transfer funds on hold. I'm still 6 -8 weeks away from delivery of my 2025 Lariat and as It get closer to delivery date I will contact my dealer if this is still in limbo. My deposit is refundable.

REad the avaible owner manul and contrary to what most everyone else says, the manaul says that it cannot be done without damaging the transmission. This is also true of Subarsu that I owned in the past.

I will not be signing for my vehicle until the issue is resolved. To be resolved, a new modified owners manual/warrenty needs to be posted for download and a letter or other documentation needs to be provided to guarantee that any issue, damage or failures will be covered by the warranty. Nothing less. I highly recommend all buyers consider letting your sales person know now, I will be in the dealership come Monday hoping to get them engaged.

There has been a message from Ford that is on the other thread about flat towing stating it is in fact flat towable. I saw in the PDF version it said not but in the HTML version which will be why SYNC 4 will show in the vehicle the procedure to flat tow.

I saw the change in the HTML version yesterday. The PDF version still is listed as release "1" so it does not reflect the correction yet (wait for the PDF to have a 2 at end for the revision).

I’ve ordered a new Awd hybrid to replace my 2023 hybrid and I haven’t heard anywhere about its ability to be flat towed? I assume since the Escape hybrid Awd can be towed that this one can be as well. Anyone have any info?

Flat towing right now. The original owner’s manual was not updated to reflect the hybrid can be recreationally towed. Blue Ox has a base plate but cuts into shutters and other stuff we were the model for Demco and no cutting. That base plate should be available soo. In the website.

This is from an older version that had not been updated. The December 2024 update does state the 2025 Hybrid awd
Can be recreationally flat towed and the manual includes instructions. E are flat towing one now.

Thanks for sharing. I have a 2025 hybrid on order that's due to be built the end of May. I hope that all the Demco parts are available for when I tow it behind our gas motorhome.

They were building up stock and shipping to resellers so they hadn’t listed it on the site. I suspect it’s the same case now. We were the model for the Demco base plate for the 2025 awd hybrid. Had it and all the tow gear installed there in Iowa. It will be in the website soon. We were told it would be available for pre-order.
