Sorry, the thread was so long I got lost. :-) No, I never got an answer. We just leave the driver door open, release from tow mode, close the door, and let it set 15 minutes. No issue yet.
This is an old post. I think the question you are asking about is can the 2025 hybrid be towed. Yes, definitely. The new Ford Towing Guide clearly shows it can. We have towed ours over 2500 miles with no issues.
You'll have to contact Demco for the cost. The base plate that installs on the Maverick is what my post was about. The base plate for the 2025 Maverick is just now being released. We were the model for it back in April.
If you don't mind a trip to Boyden Iowa, Bruce's Repair Shop can do the whole works. He used to work for Demco and his shop is just minutes away from the Demco plant. He did a good job for us.
For those waiting for the Demco base plate for the 2025 Maverick - they are now in production with 5 available, I have been told. This is not advertised on their website yet. Part Number: 9519366 Customer service 800.543.3626 or email [email protected].

We were the model for the Demco base plate for the 2025 awd hybrid. Had it and all the tow gear installed there in Iowa. It will be in the website soon. We were told it would be available for pre-order.
Yes for lights and brakes. We are working out a bug on flashers coming on instead of blinkers. That may be a 7-pin issue with our Canadian-made RV wiring.
The price for the base plate hasn’t been posted yet as it is in beginning production stage. The Demco Commander 2 tow bar is about $1013. The Stay and Play braking system is about $1590. There are a few additional parts for wiring, lights, etc for about $360. Then whatever your installer charges.
This is the DEMCO Stay and Play. It is a popular tow braking system that has been in use for years. It was installed by a Demco authorized dealer who worked at Demco for 10+ years. The Demco RV product coordinator and the design engineer were there when we hooked up. Our Maverick was the...
