Can the new 2025 Hybrid AWD be flat towed?

I’ve ordered a new Awd hybrid to replace my 2023 hybrid and I haven’t heard anywhere about its ability to be flat towed? I assume since the Escape hybrid Awd can be towed that this one can be as well. Anyone have any info?

I've seen it asked many times and I've also asked this question too, the only response i got was this but i couldn't find anything in the reference but i could have missed it.. In short I don't think anyone knows yet.

Actually the Escape hybrid AWD is flat towable (four wheels down). As the Maverick is on the same chassis I suspect it will be flat towable as well. But I haven’t heard definitely.

Actually the Escape hybrid AWD is flat towable (four wheels down). As the Maverick is on the same chassis I suspect it will be flat towable as well. But I haven’t heard definitely.

According to Tim's (fordvideoguy) previous response, the ford engineers said No the awd hybrid is NOT flat towable. You may want to hold on to that MY23 or get a trailer designed for that purpose. I assume there must be some design difference if the escape awd hybrid is actually flat towable.

I have the dealership chasing down an answer for me. They are great at following up so I should have an answer soon. Although Tim’s answer was from a Ford engineer! I pray that he’s wrong. Or maybe it’s just the 4K towing pkg that makes it untowable? I’m just guessing now.

Great truck, went for a ride yesterday and got 42.6 mpg , outstanding. Handles great, rides nice. Only issue is Ford used some cheap materials on the inside like the glove compartment.

Couldn't you just get a XL or XLT FWD Hybrid to flat tow? All this discussion is about the AWD version.

You can get the hybrid FWD and flat tow that yes. but alot of people in colder climates want AWD for stability and the hybrid, but hybrid AWD is not able to be Flat towe.
