Battery issue

You purchased yours in Apr 2023 and starting to get these issues in Oct. 2024. That's a very long time. My first battery lasted 6 months, my 2nd is starting again at just over 2 months. My 2nd battery is AGM.

It’s literally removing the negative battery cable, then the positive battery cable, swap batteries, attach positive battery cable, attach negative battery cable. You also have to attach the vent tube. Then Reset BMS.

Thanks for this information. I bought the AGM battery using the Amazon links others provided (the seller wanted confirmation that I knew what I was doing). The biggest challenge for me was removing the plastic around the battery as the obstacles made that a big pain.

Everything is working! The one thing I noticed is that to reset the BMS, it required 4 or 5 brake taps instead of the 3 mentioned in the post.

Considering the issue continues of undercharging since this old thread - no they did not learn anything they took action on.

Also it was probably earlier than that request to contact them - but Ford presence left the forums.

Welcome to the club of deep sleep issues. There many threads discussing this issue with possible solution. I think the best solution is to replace your battery with a third party AGM battery. Ford does not even make an AGM battery for the Maverick hybrid. If you search this forum, you will find recommendations for a replacement battery and how to install it.
