Ya, I know they swap terms between customer facing manual and dealer facing documents, and not consistent at that.
No problemo.
And in reality the settings that are reset ARE in the BMS system, retained in a module running it.
I think the manual is more wrong.

Shoot - even the manual talks as if the BMS might be optional!

Battery Management System (If Equipped)
The system monitors battery conditions and takes actions to extend battery life. If excessive battery drain is detected, the system temporarily disables some electrical systems to protect the battery.
Yes, they not only change terms between the customer documents vs the tech service manual, they change terminology and names of parts between the tech service manual and the PARTS department. I’ll ask for a part as it’s called in our FORD service manual and get a blank stare from the parts department Only to find that the part has a totally different name in the FORD parts catalogue🤷🏾‍♂️😂

Well I left my Maverick with the dealer for 3 days thinking they have come up with a fix for the deep sleep battery issue. Ford tells me they are aware of the issue and should have a fix (software) sometime in 1st qtr. of this year. Well that is about over and no fix. After fumbling around in the dark looking for my keys, etc at 0:dark:thrity every morning, I decided on just attach a small (5 Amp) smart charger to the under hood 12 volt Positive terminal and ground it to the frame. I 1st tried a NOCO 2 amp charger, but found it was to slow to bring the battery back to full charge, Sent that back to Amazon and got their 5 amp version. This works fine. I Velcroed the charger to the fire wall, tied the connections down with nylon ties and added a 125 volt port (also NOCO) through the XLT Finder Badge. Gives it a professional OEM look, and I just plug a 120 volt extension cord into it to keep the battery charged. Used the drivers side for the port so I am not apt to drive off while it is plugged in.
Would you mind posting a couple of images showing your underhood attachments and the Noco port install? I'm a bit fuzzy on the details. Mahalo
