Ivetried both USB ports at the center bottom of the dash, and neither charges my phone. It does data connect and fool my phone into thinking its charging, but does not charge. Is this a problem or are they data only?

This has been my experience also.Donāt use the USB use the āUSB-Cā port.
Mine charges my IPhone just fine with its 3.0 amp 5 VDC output.
Standard USB-C / BC 1.2: Delivers 5V at up to 1.5Aā3A (7.5W to 15W).
I Never used the standard USB port because I donāt have anything that old anymore.
FWIW my IPhone charges fast up to 80%
Then slowly up to 100% for the batteries sake.
But like the Mavbridās power battery I donāt charge past 80% for longevity of the cells. My phone has a charge limit setting.
Some usb cables are data only. Try a different one.Ivetried both USB ports at the center bottom of the dash, and neither charges my phone. It does data connect and fool my phone into thinking its charging, but does not charge. Is this a problem or are they data only?
[/QUOTE said:Just realized that is incorrect. They may be charge only, not data only. Sorry for the mistake. Some usb cables are data only. Try a different one.
I tried one of each style. Odd that I'd get 2 bad cables, but I'll try another. Some usb cables are data only. Try a different one.
Check symbols at data/charge ports and on your cable ends....Ivetried both USB ports at the center bottom of the dash, and neither charges my phone. It does data connect and fool my phone into thinking its charging, but does not charge. Is this a problem or are they data only?
I wasn't aware of that. Thanks.Check symbols at data/charge ports and on your cable ends....
= A USB data and charge symbol typically combines the standard USB trident logo (for data and general connection) with a battery outline or lightning bolt (for power delivery and charging).
