It simple, stay off the highway, and learn how to drive the speed limit. My commute I can take the highway or city street, I choose to take the city street, I don't drive over the speed limit, and I don't jack rabbit off the line. The more you coast to a stop the more the battery is recharged, the less time the engine will fire up.

The biggest issue I see is people who get a hybrid and drive it like they normally do any other car. Which is OK, but you are not going to get the hyper high MPG
All makes sense. I drive in ECO around our town, slow starts, and smoothly. Most speed limits are 35, which I do (many times ignoring the car a few feet behind me) I Know about freeway MPG, best I have seen is 36. When just driving around town, the best tank MPG was 568. Happy with that...but again , I don't see how anyone can get 700 out of a tank full.

I tried eco mode in my AWD mav and didn’t see any better mpg, so I just stick to normal. Best full tank was 37.6mpg (hand calculated) and 605 miles before fillup. I was beginning to sweat it as it said 10 miles to empty. Never try it again as I don’t like getting below 1/4 tank.

I am fully aware of everything said in the Video..I use Eco mode, I use regen. Not possible for Me to get over 600 mpg and live in a city were speed limits are mostly 35. I do Not want to be a roadblock. I am glad other people are getting such great mileage and I am fine with my average of 41 mpg in 3000 miles( in saving gas receipts and miles on vehicle, it really 38 mpg)

734 miles is 1181 km. That is insane!

My best has been 1030km and that is only recently, I'm normally around 900 a tank.

Eco mode, windows open, and hardly use AC - I like open air motoring unless its 30+, then ac it is.

Not a road block if you are doing the speed limit

Around here A/C is not an option. With temps in 90s and humidity in 60+ range if you don’t have A/C it feels like you’re being stewed. Just got back from getting some groceries and just going back and forth to car is torture. It’s like that pretty much from mid May to as late as November. So far today it only feels like 104 F

I don't know what drivers are like where you live, but going the "speed limit" here, where Californians have moved to in droves is like blocking the road. I can usually see the spinach stuck in their teeth as they ride my bumper. And yeah, I go slightly over the speed limit a bit, they still collect behind me...wanting to go Faster!!

Let them ride your bumper, they don't pay your Bills...

True that, and I don't even have any rude bumper stickers either. Saw on yesterday, it said "I drive the speed limit".. Or......

688.5 miles and 56 miles to empty. This was driving almost entirely in backroads most of the time I had the windows down and no AC. I did have a 50 mile trip on the highway with the AC going full blast the entire time.

This was most likely a 1 time thing for me.

My commute to work is either 30 miles of all backroads or I can do 33 miles of 50/50 backroads and highways. Both routes in theory take about the same amount of time. However the ride on backroads goes past 4 schools so the ride in the morning will be significantly longer now that school started.

I’m going to try taking the highway to work and the backroads home to see how that goes.
