Curious if option # 47E, the Securicode Keypad, is back on the B-pillar, and not a stick-on? No longer shown as a Dealer Installed option.

where are you seeing this? When I go to Ford website, the 2027 build still isn’t available??

Interesting, are fleet trucks really mostly hybrid? That surprises me.

Lariat seems less attractive now if they are going to nickel and dime you.

Also what are these supposed unique 18" FX4 wheels being dropped? That seems like a mistake?
I have 3 friends that manage fleets, and each has between 10 and 35 Mavericks. In all cases, they went with a FWD Hybrid for 2 primary reasons: 1) The drivetrain has been around for a while and proven to be durable - all 3 said they tend to stay away from turbo-charged engine options (trading fuel mileage for proven durability by going with the V8 in their F-150s, for example). And, 2) The trucks are used primarily around town, where the hybrid shines over an ICE.

I think we can summarize the FX4 package as the associated technology, and the wheels are no longer part of the package. It seems strange that you still cannot get the FX4 features (standard on the XLT EB AWD) plus add the Bronze or Black Appearance packages. It is, however, what it is -- maybe they consider making a change in Job 2 if the demand from dealers is sufficient to justify it.

@fordvideoguy when will the Ford website show the 2027 model year with options and colors? As of a few minutes ago, it wasn’t on there that I could find.

From the Order Guide.

I kinda disagree with that. The Maverick is so “car like” that I would say more people don’t tow …than actually tow. I got my Mav for two reasons only… to save money with the hybrid and to be able to take it where my F250 doesn’t get broken into or stolen. Mine did come with the receiver, because I didn’t order the truck, bought it off the lot…but I don’t need it to tow at all since I’ve got the big truck.
if at the time of purchasing your maverick, they said

“hey we found the same exact maverick on the lot except it doesnt have a hitch — we’ll knock $100 off the price”

would you do it?

Well yeah...IF you read most post I would do it. I have other trucks to tow with. I wouldn't even need the receiver on the Maverick. Now...IF I didn't have another truck(s), I would for sure take the hitch on the Mav...no question. Pretty much a no-brainer for my situation. My Mav is ONLY for the commute/mileage savings and the Patrick Swayze Roadhouse beater car as my 250 has already been broken into twice and stolen and recovered once (if you get the reference) Like I mentioned in a previous post, I'd bet there are statistically more Mav owners who never have or will tow with their Maverick than have towed or will tow with it someday.

thats fair, we will just have to disagree.

i wholeheartedly disagree and think its a very shortsighted decision, luckily, one that neither one of us will have to deal with.

eh ....(1) you're putting an order in for one and you are going to have to wait months for it? YES; (2)you're at the dealership picking one up that's either the one that you ordered and now it's shown up or you found one on the lot and they're offering 'that one without the hitch' for 100 bucks off and you THINK one day you may need a hitch? Definitely no.

The hitch receiver on a truck is like a full size spare. Better to have it when needed than not. Especially for the small additional cost.

Wow... so I guess with my Orange Fury Maverick I've finally made it into the 2% Club.

No it is not true. Ecoboost is not available on Lariat but Hybrid FWD is available.

Yes, it is true that a local dealer told you that. But thats not important right now - tell the captain I need to speak to him.
Boy! You must have thought long and hard to come up with that.

I found out that some dealers are having a difficult time finding FWD code W8M as it’s not in the same area as the AWD. It’s in section 19 area separate from the other.
