Hey Tim (@fordvideoguy), do you have any idea how many orders Ford got in the first week of the order bank being open? At your dealership in this first week, did you get more, about the same, or less orders than you have in the first week of previous years?

Any thoughts on when the first MY25s will be delivered? September? October? November?

Thanks.
They don’t start building the 25s until mid November.

Ford doesn't release that. There is no worry of the order banks closing like the first 2 years. The 2024 order bank never closed. Last year we had 335 orders but they were all carryover orders, we didn't take new orders until we got them all scheduled.

Production starts November 11. Ford is saying Fall Deliveries but i think it will be December. I have heard they plan to hold up OKTB until they check them for quality. I see it being January.

Thanks for the honest assessment. One can endure all kinds of things if he knows they might be coming.

I tried to figure out OKTB but can't. What does it stand for? OK To Build? OK To Buy? :)

Believe OK To Board- load on truck/rail to get to a dealer.

Ok to Buy, they won't ship until they are ok for the customers to buy them. They will not ship out until that is ready because they know dealers will sell them once they arrive.

Another honest/accurate statement from someone who knows how the world works. ;)

When do order banks open nationwide? And are most dealers still adding markup?

Here in Hawaii, all 3 dealers say order banks are not open for our area yet. They are also all adding $7K markup across the board. I'm debating the possibility of ordering one from the mainland and shipping it over.

Compared to when you started taking new orders for the 2024 models, do you see the demand so far for the 2025 models as: 1. Lower or 2. same or 3. Higher?

Since the overall consensus is that most members here (and elsewhere) are not fond of the abhorrent new front end design, I'm curious if this is affecting demand for the 2025's...

@5ninefish 2025 order banks opened 8/1/2024.
Order from either @Granger Ford and save 3% off invoice price or from Long McArthur Ford @fordvideoguy @Sarah Davis who will cover the first $1k in shipping costs if you finance through them.

@5ninefish , agree with this post. @fordvideoguy / @Sarah Davis 's dealership tries to avoid drop-shipping/courtesy delivering to dealerships in Hawaii (bad experiences in the past), but are able to facilitate the delivery to their dealership in Kansas and then having it shipped to you in Hawaii. You would pick a spot with the shipper to meet them, not at a Ford Dealership. I am guessing most likely at the docks/port. Ha! They will cover the first $1k in shipping costs if you finance through them, which will not cover the entire cost to ship, but will still save you a LOT over buying from a dealer in Hawaii if the Hawaii dealer adds 7k markup.

Thanks for the info, everyone. My boss ordered a Ford vehicle from the mainland last year, and he just met the shipper at the main vehicle pickup dock in Honolulu. I agree, Ford dealers here have not been very helpful based on several firsthand experiences. I'll contact the representatives noted here and see what we can arrange. Thanks again!

Lower, we aren't seeing near the demand on 2025.

In addition to the heavily disliked awkward restyling, I believe that price increases have also come into play, and of course current interest rates.

Other 2025 cons:

1. Deleted buttons for climate, heated seats etc.
2. Too many forced options on the Lariat
3. Forced purchase of Black Appearance Package to get darker seats on Lariat
4. No delete option for black roof and decals on BAP (WHO wants a black roof on a non-black vehicle??)
5. No 360 camera option on XLT
6. Exterior/interior limited color choices
7. No Hybrid option for Lobo
8. Overpriced Tremor and Lobo models
9. No split rear seat
