I agree, MY25 XL in EG or no MY26 XL considering the price increase and poor color options.

MSRP is $3,400 more than I paid for my loaded up ’24 model Lariat that I bought 10 months ago. Prices still creeping up, evidently.
I’m More than happy with what I got.

The cost difference pencils out like this for me:
$3,400 price difference between ’24 & ’26 model years
divided by $2.28 per gallon of gas (current price here)
=1,491 gallons of gas that I can buy with the savings
1,491 gallons X 28 mpg = 41,754 miles I can drive on it
I’m enjoying those miles with what I saved.

I was able to build an XLT similar to what I currently have for my 2023, and I was able to select the FX4. The 2026 is about $5k more than what I paid for my 2023.

My 25MY XLT equipped the same at the end of the 25MY price and build is $125 more than 26MY. Mine has lux package, 4k towing, and BLIS plus the cost for the color.

Everything on the one I bought is the same except the AWD costs $125 for the 25 and is at no cost on the EB if you want it on the 26.

However, with before mid-year price increase, employee pricing, 1k discount for dealer financing, and a $750 coupon, I paid $30,600. Build and price for the same 26 vehicle is $36,295

I think you can still get the FX4 on a 2026 for $800
I guess you cannot get it on Lariat.

About $2500 or so more than mine was, and I picked it up this time last month.

Still a great little truck - one of my favorite vehicles ever. But sooner or later Ford is going to price themselves out of a market. (I know I was all but guaranteed to get a Lariat, until I saw the '25 price cross 40k...)

Since the 2025 model year you can only get the FX4 package on the XLT trim. Prior to this you could get it on a Lariat trim. Wish they would bring it back for the Lariat trim.

Few observations

-xl and xlt appear to have tinted headlights ? I don’t recall seeing those on the 25 build site
-xl and xlt tires looks bulkier in the pics
-xlt looks pretty good at least in these doctored up pictures

almost looks lower and better but we know not much has changed

Orange Fury is an amazing color if we had to lose Eruption Green, and Light Blue looks good too
