Just curious if you have an AWD Maverick? If so, do you experience the noise and the knocking on the tailgate you mention at around 13 MPH? Or are we talking a way slower speed? If it's happening at around 13 mph or so you may have what I call the 13 MPH thud, thunk or clunk as that is the speed...
Definitely not normal IMHO but still the exception and not the rule. But it's still annoying and doesn't instill confidence long term. One of these days I'll take my truck in at least to just get it on the record so to speak. I'm sure it'll be a waste of time unfortunately. I'm still hopeful...
Wow that is very disappointing that the dealership couldn't help you out. I'm surprised that they found their new Maverick's also made the clunk as well as the loaner one with only 1100 miles. I commissioned a poll of AWD Maverick owner's here and it looks like only 28% of the 143 respondents...
Not sure how much you pay attention to mpg's but can you comment on the mpg's of the Cooper Endeavor's compared to the OEM Conti's that came on your Hybrid? I think these Cooper Endeavor's weigh more than the OEM Conti's and have a higher rolling resistance so I would assume less mpg's?
This is actually for our 2023 Ford Escape Hybrid AWD that has around 51K miles on it. It has the OEM Michelin Primacy's on it which are close to end of life so looking for new tires that won't kill the MPG's before winter. We also have a 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD but only 12K on it so no need for...
One of our local Ford dealers is doing a buy 3 get the 4th tire for $1.00 sale. I called and inquired about pricing and was told the price included an alignment with the new tires. Honestly thinking back I don't think I've ever had an alignment done on a car when getting new tires. I was told I...
Thanks for the update. You may already know this but if you turn off traction control the thunk magically disappears and it also disappears when your in sport mode. If I know I'm going to be doing a lot of stop and go driving I'll turn off traction control just so I don't have to listen and feel...
Did you buy your Maverick new? How many miles does it have on it? If you did buy it new I'm curious if it make the 13 mph thud (thunk or clunk) when new or if it only did it after you owned it for awhile? I have a 25 AWD Hybrid that I bought new but it didn't clunk when I bought it and it...
So just to be clear you too had what I call the 13 mph thud (thunk or clunk) when slowing down and the AWD system engages at around 13 mph? I see you also mentioned a groaning noise when turning and had the RDU replaced under warranty. So did you have both the 13 mph thunk and the groaning noise...
So your running Michelin Defender 2's on your Maverick Tremor? I'm glad to hear that they did well in the snow last year. I am tire shopping for our 23 Ford Escape AWD hybrid currently and I've read mixed reviews in winter driving for the Defender 2's. The Escape came with Michelin Primacy A/S...
It looks like your in Ohio and I see you mentioned your truck has clunked pretty much from the start. What month of the year did you get your truck? Was it cold out then? Mine was purchased new in May of 2025 so it was above 40 degrees here in Michigan so I would say the clunk (thunk or thud)...
Yeah your dealer experience is why I'm still waiting for someone or someone's dealer to come up with a diagnosis before I take mine in. You mention you have 9500 miles on your Maverick, did you buy new and if so did if clunk right from the start? These trucks seem to only clunk when it's warm...
Thanks for the info. I see that I replied to another thread of yours and in it you mentioned a clunk from the rear end. See post #9 in the tread below for my response. I'm curious if the clunk (thud or thunk) you mention is what many of AWD Mav owners experience when slowing down from around...
Was this after a recent OTA update? Do you remember what the update was for? I know I've had a few OTA updates in the last few months for a couple of recalls but last time I went through the wash a few weeks ago I didn't see the message (and never have seen it).
Also sorry to hear about your...
Just read the post you linked and I notice it says it's for the HF45 ecvt. The 2025 and up Mavericks now have the HF55 so I wonder if the procedure is any different? I have no idea but curious if someone else here might know?
